What the doctor meant was that he got immediate attention, got the clot buster shot, that worked!!He has no clogged arteries, no blockages, no side affects from the shot. He has great blood pressure through it all, no bad cholestrol. Our doctor was out here on his farm about two miles away and came immediately when I called him. The only pain my husband had was in his jaws. What alarmed me was his color change and he referred to his feeling as that of impending doom! Our doctor is also a friend and the perfect heart attack was the wake-up call GOD gave him. We know there was a guardian angel showing us that GOD still exists. We have set our priorties in the right order. |

I am glad you husband is ok, and there was only minimum damage. Maybe it was a scare for the better. It did get your husband to quit smoking and all of you to eat better and exercise. Maybe it was the "perfect heart attack" like the doctor said. Good luck, I hope everything continues to go well for you and your husband. |

I forgot to add this, there are more than 4000 ingredients in a cigarette other than tobacco. Common additives include yeast, wine, caffeine, beeswax and chocolate.Nicotine is absorbed by tissue lining the lungs and enters the blood stream. It passes through the heart and returns to the lungs then starts circulating in arteries. It spreads to every part of the body. Several studies suggest that smoking increases levels of beta endorphins, naturally occuring chemicals with morphine-like effects. |

Very well said but I'm sorry to have to say that I'm still smoking. In fact, I'm doing so right now. I don't like the world the way it is now so I won't be sad if something takes me out of it. I don't know what but something's going to take me out of this life and this world. It might as well be cigarettes. Don't get me wrong. I know that I need for quit. |
