It would be very hard if the shoe were on the other foot. Personally, I would be greatful though because I can't imagine having to live that way. Read this post for just one example of what goes on http://www.myusm.com/usm331020.html |

I feel like an idiot. I hit my back button and replied to the wrong post. It must be later than I thought. I guess I do have selfish thoughts. I was afraid that if we didn't do something, we would have more attacks here and I wouldn't get to spend the rest of my life with my husband if something should happen to us. |

my selfish thoughts are really awful. I would and will probably offend many people. But remember it's thoughts I can't control.. I think that the worlds population will have a needed decrease. I also think that if weapons of mass destruction are used all the history of the first civialisation in our world will be lost and also our ecosystem will suffer terribly. eeek, I know I should care about people more but I guess I don't like humans as a whole I prefer individuals. love, |

My selfish thoughts? Well, for one, my step brother will likely get killed; and I will, if the draft is reinstated, likely have to go over there and die for a cause I don't believe in. (Not that I don't think Saddam should go, I just doubt we'll get him, and him and his buddies will retaliate with them good ole' weapons of mass destruction.) |

We should not fear the war, we should fear what would happen to us if we don't go to war! |

I know this is going to catch me hell but I really DON'T care at this point. I support Saddam in this more than I do Bush. Want to know why? I didn't see Saddam bombing the U.S. because they possess WMD. Bush wants to be a bully to the world and walk in daddy's shoes, fine. I hope history repeats itself (a'la only one term). Bush is the REAL tyrant in this war. |

Yeup dark angel I'd have to agree with you. What if China or any other country was to go into the USA and say you "You have weapons of mass destruction and we don't agree with your form of government and don't like your countries leader. So hand over all your weapons (of mass...) that are a threat to our population or face the consequence of war". I dont think the american people would be to pleased either.. and would kinda hate the country belittling and threatening them. love, |

for the last time, no one is being drafted. IU don't know who's throwing that out there but our armed forces are over strength and will probably be down sizing after this altercation (like in 92). What I fear about the war???? one word ME |

It's nto the forms of governement, it's the same as gun control laws, now If I had a violent history and went to get a gun, I would be turned away. Now a country with a violent history that has attacked it's neighbors unprovoked, he files with the international community to see if he can have a nuke, we say no, he gives us the bird and says he's going to anyway. Now back to me, I do the same and I get myself a gun by going around the government, I get caught, my punishment is what? Loss of freedom, his punishment? loss of leadership position. Death to Saddam and all the state side traitors. Move to france, swim to cuba, or relish in teh freedoms this country provided. |

i dont know how this will go down with other people but I dont support this war at all..i feel that bush has no right in declaring this war as he has no right in the first place to tell Saddam to step down, it isn't bush's country is it? My selfish thought? that.. me and my friends will die before we've done so many things.. but im in Singapore.. which is kinda far.. but u'll never know. |

A tremendous amount of selfishness and ignorance displayed in some of these replies. I'm not even going to try and address it all. |

Appreciate your second thoughts. Bottomline is Freedom is never Free! We have to struggle to maintain it. Sadly, there are many in Iraq who have no idea what freedom is. Look at all the nasty debate going on. My father was WWI, many relatives WWII. My husband served in Vietnam. I love and respect our country - have visited many overseas and God Bless America! RAT |

selfishness and ignorance very nicly put, considering I've be jetting of shortly to the region, i think that justifies my selfishness just a little bit, after all it is my war, is it not? While sit back and complain that you didn't want it to happen cause you don't want people to die, or because he's just doing it because of his father, why you disgrace teh flag. You lose nothing in this conflict and gain a security you may never have to know about. |

that it is good to see. If only some others would come around and relize for the past 11 years Iraq has been on the top of the bad guys list. Why are people denying this now? |
