M.Man, you know that I'm your friend and I think they we are both big enough to respect each other's opinions on this issue. George W. Bush is a great man and a great leader. These actions should have taken place many years ago and they would have had it not been for the fact that Bozo Clinton was so spineless. In my opinion, his administration was a big joke on this country and the world laughed harder than we did. We now have a real leader who has taken the bull by the horns and faced the situation head-on. We are not afraid. Our cause is noble and quite justified. It matters not that some countries are cowards and some citizens are living in a fantasy world. (Please understand that my last comment there was in no way directed towards you. You know how I feel about you. I respect you and your opinion. I'm simply voicing mine now.) This war will end in one of three ways. Sodamned Insane will be either killed, exiled or tried for war crimes. I could live easily with any of those. I would prefer that he was dead, though. The atrocities that he and his vile regime have committed against the citizens of Iraq rival those of Adolph Hitler and I can't see how anyone could ever feel any pity for him. Our goal is noble and justified and we will prevail. Iraq is a joke to me at this point. They are helpless, hopeless and history. They should all realize that and surrender. There is absolutely NO way that they can win. We will not stop until this job is seen through to completion. We will achieve our goal and the citizens of Iraq will thank us just as those in Afghanistan and Kuwait now do. Were it not for us and our actions, they would be in a world of trouble. You might want to go back to my post from a couple of days ago and see how those animals fed human beings into plastic shredders and raped women. Those days are now over and you cna thank the Red, White and Blue for that blessing. I know that they do. God Bless America! |

Yeah, Bush sucks.. he's no better than Clinton.. he's a war monger. Frank, "We now have a real leader who has taken the bull by the horns and faced the situation head-on." Since when is Bush actually going to fight the war? Yeah.. anyway, I'm anti-war too.. this war is stupid. Hopefully, it will end soon. But yeah, Saddam should be shot, I agree with that. |

Rika, I never turn this television off now that the war has started. I'm constantly on top of the news. It's amazing how many Iraqi soldiers are now surrendering. Tune in to NBC and you'll see it, too. George W. Bush is a great man and a great leader. Think about it. How would you feel if you were a man and forced to watch or wife be raped or your friends shredded into fish food? We've put a stop to all of that crap. Hate will no longer rule in Iraq. The citizens there deserve much better and thanks to us and our efforts, they'll have it. How could anyone possibly oppose this action? |

Rika, a President in a leader. He makes decisions. Why is he allowed to do so? Because he's qualified and he was elected. People like me voted for him. Everyone has a position. It's the responsibility of our soldiers to carry out his orders and they do an amazing job. I'm grateful for that. |

I'm very anti war aswell. Good for you for sticking up for what you believe in (and that goes for anybody for or against the war). I'm looking forward to one or two decades from now when we will eventually get the whole horrifying truth about the matter. I think I'll have a few things corrected and so will a lot of others. love, |

If you look back in history, you'd see that most major advancements in the history of civilization were made as result of -or in preparation for- war and conflict.. So, I don't think war is inherently evil. But, THIS war is stupid. At least, that's what it looks like, from all the BS on CNN. Since when does one country spend so much money, and risk so many lives of it's own, simply to give the prize back to the very people they just fought it away from? |

Actually Frank, Bush didn't have the popular vote, but he had the electorial vote. This means the people didn't vote him in, the electoral college did. Here's the proof, CNN's results from the 2000 elections. http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2000/results/ |

I am glad everyone can express their opinions on this matter, for or against. When you do, you are showing that you care about what happens to this country and others. Even if we all do disagree, we have the same goal. Just different ideas of how to reach it. |

And we should just continue to let women and children be raped, starved and used as human shields, as their fathers and husbands are tortured and massacred, as their loved ones watch... Sorry, just can't see it. |

Paula, Those same things are happening in many, many countries, yet, we aren't going to war with them. Why do you think that is? I sure can't figure it out. And do you really think killing civilians is the best way to liberate them? (and regardless of how careful we are, when you drop a bomb on a heavily populated city such as Baghdad, there will be civilian casualties) |

very good post.. there was some kind of poll taken here in Portland, OR.. saying "should people protest the war?" i say- hell yes! people should stand up for what they believe in! it doesn't even matter if i agree with them or not- they should use the rights that they have to say what they think! and i think protesting is VERY American.. that's what this country was created for.. for freedom... whoever said that protesters should be tried for treason really needs to take a few History classes and figure out the history of this country... |

i like this post. I can understand when people say that we have been waiting for this a long time, but some of the events that led up to it could have been stopped by the government. I, for one, am against this whole war, and I won't even pretend that i think its a good idea.. if anyone feels i'm a traitor, then fine, whatever. No sweat off my back. If they start arresting people, then let them. because its unconstitutional. isn't this why we have our constitution.. |

It does not bother me that people protest the war. It does not upset me that people dont like George Bush... What really upsets me is 90 percent of the the People Who are Protesting and making anti War post, are also making statements which are not true. They just dont know what they are talking about. And in the end they lose sight of why the United States has taken the path of War. Jihad has been declared against The United States. Is everyone willing to allow Iran to plant a nuke in LA, to kill millions... Well Thats their plan. Are we going to allow North Korea to Strike the west coast with a Nuke? Thats North Korea's Plan. Why are they doing this? Because they hate us.. Is everyone willing to allow these little countries develop Chemical Weapons to arm terroist so they can kill American Children? |

Protestors should go to Bagdad and protest their. Sadaams decision to NOT comply and get rid of his Weapons of Mass Distruction is the Reason the War is taking Place. So if you are really serious go to Baghdad and convince That poor excuse for Humanity to give up...... |

in one word, yes. M man, a harsh fact you will come to learn, is that no decision is made by the President, he's just the one who brakes the news. You don't hink he should be Presiend? Well get use to it looks like he's got 2 terms in him, look at the ecomony rise, and people do not put him to blame for the defiset. Then again you're not less of an American, cause as much as you hate Bush I hate alot of Congress. My advise to you would be to turn off CNN turn on Fox News for a month just a month, and see if your opinoins on matters change. You see CNN is a news corporation that needs views to make money, there for they stir a story, while Fox news already has multiple networks and dose not rely on rating to secure their jobs. Thus you get the news. |

didn ot will a popular vote, yes this is true, but my theory is this, the people who are agaist bush now are the people that were against his election in the first place, but weren't able to complain directly after Sep 11th. |

I've said it once and I'll say it again! Snipers are a good thing people! Actually David Eddings had the best idea..."Equal his heads weight in gold. A man whose head is more valuable to others than it is to himself doesn't have much time for stupidity!" And it would save a lot of people their lives who are just unlucky enough to be caught in the middle of this farce. They aren't that much different than us, two arms, two legs,...it's the leaders and their sons that need to be put off this earth, not the innocent people that are caught in the middle. And by the way, Frank. I do commend you for keeping your head level in the face of so many opposing opinions. I for one am just not impressed with politics. They are looking out for themselves, not us... |

You know what ? If you seem to hate the president that much, why not move to another country ? I feel he's doing a wondeful job. In other places, you simply don't have the freedom that you have here. You are killed for even having an opinion! Why do you think people are always trying to move to the USA ? It's because they want freedom. You can say want you want about the war, but you don't prove anything when you speak badly of President Bush. |

Regarding being a "bully' to other countries.... If that country can easy been seen as threat to the world due to it's number of wepons, and if it is know for using them, I say we have just cause. Saddam is an evil man. Addressing this will make the world a better place. How can his people really be happy ? One of his sons has a hobby ? Know what it is ? It's raping women! |

Good post btw, I agree that ppl should be allowed to say their opinion even though they're agains something the government is doing. That is one of the rights you have in a democraty and isn't America just that? I'm against many things the goverment in Norway decides and I don't like our prime-minister. That doesn't make me less Norwegian.... |
