He's Three Years Older Than Me ..............

Hey everyone! A while ago, I met the coolest guy. His name is Tim and he's 19. (I'm 16) I really really like him and it's obvious that he likes me. He calls me every once in a while and I always go see him at work. We flirt a lot and I've actually gotten to know him and his friends pretty well. My question is ... would it be dangerous if I tried to start a relationship with him? I am still in high school and he's working three jobs AND going to college. What do you think? If you have any questions to help you understand the situation better, feel free to ask! Thanks for your time!

Date: 4/10/2003 7:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 50193    I'm 19 and Lia is 17; therefore, I don't think it's too big of a deal.
Date: 4/10/2003 7:47:00 PM  From Authorid: 53013    I think at your age it's not that much of difference. The main thing is that you are both on the same page, as far as what you are looking for in a relationship. The main thing is to do what is in your heart. Hope this helps, good luck!
Date: 4/10/2003 8:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 19482    three years isn't that big of a deal...good luck to ya!
Date: 4/10/2003 8:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 11721    if it were 30 years i'd say there might be a problem but since its only 3 there are no generational things to consider - i say you are set!
Date: 4/11/2003 12:12:00 AM  From Authorid: 10657    CC I think what you should do is let it develop on its own. It would be better to wait until, you are out of High school and you have lots more in common.
Date: 4/11/2003 9:10:00 AM  From Authorid: 53284    Ask yourself the question. When you are in college would you date someone from highschool. Three years isn't that big a deal but it could be.
Date: 4/11/2003 5:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    he sounds like a good guy to be working and going to school(that is ALWAYS a good trait!!) check into your local laws(how young is illegal?) 3 years is the most difference i'd say for a teenager to have... do you have alot in common?? does he want a relationship with you for more then physical.... ask about his past relationships have they been long term or short term?
Date: 4/11/2003 7:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 39043    I don't think there is anything wrong with trying to start a relationship with him. As long as you two are on the same page as relationships go. I'm 22 and I likea 19 yr old. He will be 20 this yr tho. But id say go for it, if he is interested then yeah i'd go for it. Good luck.

Date: 4/12/2003 6:42:00 AM  From Authorid: 29262    Age is just a number, My parents are 8 years apart. I don't think it would hurt...
Date: 4/13/2003 1:45:00 AM  From Authorid: 61472    My old boyfriend was 3 years older then me and alot of my friends are too. [im 13] So i think its ok. But keep in note that this guy is already in teh adult age and may act more mature sooner or later so keep your gaurd up!
