it really sickens me when a player for team x decides to leave the team to go to team y because team y offered them two extra million dollars.....when they were already making 15 million per year *rolls eyes* |

What these sports players make is sickening, however I am a Steelers fan! The only sport I watch is football, but only when the Steelers are playing. To me, when players switch teams because of money, it makes me realize, there is no loyalty. It is all about money. God Bless |

CW, all of this team loyalty is something that I can't understand at all. You mentioned the Steelers. That would make sense if you were from Pittsburgh or even Pennsylvania but what of those in Florida who feel that same way that you do? Why? |

My brothers and I never got into sports. My son does like to watch wrestling and that is not really a sport but a choregraphed something instead. I'd rather watch a good movie. |

I love sports - my husband doesn't. My hometown loved our H.S. football games. Year I started, we hadn't won a game in years. Then our new coach appeared, an ex-Navy man: "Size doesn't matter, it's what's in your head!" he told the team. First year, he also taught girls Phys Ed - and was very angry because he said we cheered at the wrong times at games. So, we had to learn about kicking, running, etc. (never tackling). Our school won every game - many times the others were bigger. Norris Patterson taught sports with honor. He would never have allowed the prancing and bragging you see today. Thanks, Frankenstein, for remember yesterdays. RAT |

LoL..I hear ya I used to HATE sports, my husband never watched them either.. it's one of the things I used to brag about to my friends..while there husbands were couch potatoes every Sunday. That was until 2 years ago when my son started playing Football.. (his own idea) he has been the Captin for 2 years, won state in wrestling this year, and also plays baseball... so because of that, I have started to understand sports more.. and I do get out of my seat like a 2 year old, jump and scream!! LOL |

LOL. That is so true. I'm not much a sport fan myself. I don't see the big deal. Like you said it's just a game. It's nothing for you to kill someone over. (The violence) I agree |

I'm with you Frank. I would much rather watch a cooking or home improvement show on Saturday afternoon than sports, sports and more sports! They should have one channel for sports nd it should be on cable. It's just wrong to take up all three major networks with sports on the weekend. If it's not sports then it's those stupid paid commercial programs! ARGH! And the radio problem, I just come online and find my favorite music or talk radio. Nice... |

I COULD SAY MORE!!!!! |

Penny, I'm puzzled, too. What qualifies something as a sport? Chess is a game but it certainly isn't a sport. I feel the same way about dancing and bowling, etc. They call professional wrestling a sport but it's nothing but pure entertainment. It's so pre-planned and choreographed. It's just like a big soap opera to see who the bad guy is now and vice versa. |

I understand you, I don't have cable either so there is nothing but sports to watch, especially one the weekends. And I don't like to watch sports, no one in my family does either and I'm glad for that. If I was forced to watch sports though, I would choose hockey or boxing because I like watching people fight. But watching people fight is always better in real life when the people fighting aren't professionals. Like watching my little twin brothers fight each other is more entertaing then any sports I've ever seen on tv. |

ok...now for the debate Frank, I can't believe you could say you hate sports...being involved in sports helps a young child's self esteem and teaches them the meaning of team work. Sports offers rewards and discipline and gets fat kids off the couch and out on the field sweating, LMBO!! I just had to |
