Maybe its just so nice inside of mommas tummy then the bright flourescent lights hits us and hurts our eyes..9 months in the dark then BOOM bright lights lol. Good post though it does make you think.

That's a good question and I can only guess. My boy and daughter were crying before the doctor ever touched them. Maybe leaving the warmth and being shoved out into the cold has something to do with it?  |

the doctor doesn't always smack you. most of the time a baby comes out crying, showing the doctors that it is alive and breathing all right. The doctor only smacks a child if it isn't crying. We probably cry at birth because we are being yanked out of a warm place where we've lived 9 months of our lives  |
