Would you buy a pet from someone who looked dirty ? *BichonFriseOwner

Say you wanted to get a puppy, hamster, or kitten. You find the pet that you want, but the seller is very dirty. Clothes are dirty, Face and skin look uncared for and greasy. Plus, there is body odor. Would you still buy a pet from them if they looked rather dirty ? Why or why not ? Feedback is welcome. Thank you!

Date: 5/1/2003 2:36:00 PM  From Authorid: 36766    yep, I'd buy the pet...maybe the person doesn't have any money to buy soap and stuff that they need in order to care for themselves...so, yeap, I'd buy the animal
Date: 5/1/2003 2:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 11348    Definitely. If the person is dirty because they don't care, chances are they aren't going to give that pet proper care either if they won't even do it for themself. I would not deny the pet because the owner looked dirty, I'd buy it so I could give it a better home and life than the one it was probably living.
Date: 5/1/2003 2:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 13546    Yes, I would still buy the pet.. appearances mean nothing to me.. and if that person is not taking good care of THEMSELVES how will they be able to provide that kind of care for an animal?
Date: 5/1/2003 2:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 37449    If the pet looked okay... yes I would get it but mind you I would take the animal to the vet right away to make sure its okay.. but yeah.. I would
Date: 5/1/2003 2:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 46527    Of course! Why deny the animal a loving home for the sake of your own prejudice?
Date: 5/1/2003 3:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 61893    Yes, I sure would! I would be doing the people selling it a favor and the animal. I say they couldn't afford to take care of it, and would more than likely end up neglected or dead.
Date: 5/1/2003 4:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 45948    Yes I would, if for no other reason than to get the animal out of that environment. I can't tell you how many animals I have drug home because I didn't like the conditions they were in or because they were homeless. Love,
Date: 5/1/2003 6:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 6915    Yes...to save the animal from those conditions...chances are they dont take care of it much better.
Date: 5/1/2003 8:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    heck yah!! would you rather leave the animal in what may be a very unfit home for it? or get it and bring it to a new happier safer home?
Date: 7/9/2005 1:53:00 PM  From Authorid: 16376    I agree with LSR.
