If the restaurant serves alcohol you might not be old enough to work there, here you have to be 19, I work at a restaurant as a server and make a lot of money doing it, it allows me to only work a few hours a week so I can go to school, any other job I'd have to work a lot more hours, it's not a bad job but you do rely on other people for your income so ya gotta kiss up lol. Apply for both, it can't hurt. |

Thanks Base, I know for sure I'm not old enough to serve alcohol. Thanks Carissa, your right 4 year old triplets. I don't see how anyone could be bored with them. Thanks for both of your replies. *Hugz* |

If you don't feel responsible enough, then I don't think you should keep the children, thats a BIG responsibility and so many things could go wrong. I would take the waitress job or another that you would be trained for and have someone around to help out. Besides, you can make good tip money. Any experience at your age can only help but do be careful about sitting with children until you know you are capable!! |

Busy Bees answer is a good one...but I would go for the babysitting, watching 3 kids is fun, I sometimes babysit my 3 cousins (ages 2, 4 and 6), never a dull moment when it comes to watching those 3 boys |

Thank you for your comment Busy Bee, and you have an excellent point. Children are a HUGE responsible item. I wouldn't mind working with kids so much, if they seemed to like me. Little kids or I should say children of all ages seem to like my 12 year old little sister more than they do me. Waitress job, I'm not sure of. I heard they don't serve alcohol, but I'm very weary of getting fired shortly after I start. Wow, three boys Baby Cakiez I bet they are a handful. =P Poor, poor Becky. Sorry to hear the kids you baby-sitted were a bunch of little nightmares. LOL and $15 is better than $0. =p |

You should do the babysitter job. Bring coloring books or movies to entertain the kids. It wouldn't be that hard. |

oh yeah lol they're a huge handful, but I enjoy watching them, it's a lot of fun...I like it when they argue over things...the 2 oldest will argue over a marker and the 2 y/o, he'll just walk right over to them, snatch the marker away from them and take off running, giggling as he goes lol |

Well, I started waitressing when I was 17 years old. I was such a horrible waitress, I really was.I would get the orders wrong, I would forget what drinks they had ordered and twice I spilled the drinks on a person's lap. Yes, I was that bad. I would also get lousy tips, since I was a lousy waitress. They only paid me $3.25 an hour and I did not make much tips, and also I had to report the tips at the end of my shift. I hated waitressing. I have never tried babysitting, so I don't know much about that, but I don't have the patience to deal with kids much, so I don't know what to say...If this is just a summer job, I would maybe try the waitressing. With kids, there is always a chance of them falling down or scraping there knee and there parents could accuse you of hitting there kids and all of that stuff. |

Well I don't know you well enough to point out good or bad qualities but from what you have written here, I would say go for the waitress job. |

I watched 4 year old triplets for a month... full time while thier mom had to be away. I was REALLLLY glad the month ended. You'll earn every penny you're paid. If you're not sure you're responsible enough, or don't have a lot of babsitting experience, you should probably pass on tht one :o) |

If thisis any help, my step mother works at a restraunt, and she comes home with about $100 a night in tips and stuff. |
