Dear Everyone,

Hey everyone. *Waves* and *Hugs* Today I went to the store to get my mother some more Pepsi, and she received some extra change. So I took my chance on getting a local newspaper, hoping that there would be a job for me in the paper.

Well I was in luck I found two that I can do. But I'm not for sure if I fit either description for what their looking for. Will you guys help me out a little on helping me choose which I would have more luck on being good at.

Job #1 Baby-sitting. The parents are looking for a fun-loving responsible person to care for their 4 year old triplets-part time. Perfect for a stay at home mom looking for a little extra income, or a teenager on summer break. Then it tells me to call the mom, and gives her number.

Now this sounds like a fun, and interesting job. Four year old triplets how could you ever get board with them. My problem is I don't think I'm very fun-loving, and I'm not very sure if I'm responsible or not. =s Yes, I know not very positive thinking but hey it's the truth.

Job #2 A Restaurant outside of town a lil bit need waitresses, and cooks. They want the person to apply in person for an application, and then gives them number of the restaurant.

I don't know about fast food places. I'm worried about getting the orders wrong. I have a short-term memory. Plus I'm not very good at spelling!

I will admit these two choices take time to think about, but I can't take forever to think about them, because someone may get the job before I even have a chance. Please, Please, I beg(j/k here) someone to help point out the good things about me. If you don't know me, feel free to ask me questions. I'll be more than happy to answer them. Also if you are a mother over children of any age, what kind of questions would you ask me if I would be the one to take care of your children.

Thank for allowing me to take a few mins. out of your time.

Sincerly, Amanda aka: Princess Leo

Date: 5/23/2003 12:28:00 PM  From Authorid: 36704    If the restaurant serves alcohol you might not be old enough to work there, here you have to be 19, I work at a restaurant as a server and make a lot of money doing it, it allows me to only work a few hours a week so I can go to school, any other job I'd have to work a lot more hours, it's not a bad job but you do rely on other people for your income so ya gotta kiss up lol. Apply for both, it can't hurt.
Date: 5/23/2003 12:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 13546    I think you would be an AWESOME babysitter.. that would be wow, you would never be bored, thats for sure. And its part time, so you would still have some time to yourself for the summer.. hmmm.. Good Luck hon. :)
Date: 5/23/2003 12:34:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 15400    Thanks Base, I know for sure I'm not old enough to serve alcohol. Thanks Carissa, your right 4 year old triplets. I don't see how anyone could be bored with them. Thanks for both of your replies. *Hugz*
Date: 5/23/2003 12:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 58611    I say apply for both and see what happens! It will be a learning experience and you will know what to do the next time you are looking!
Date: 5/23/2003 12:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 39887    If you don't feel responsible enough, then I don't think you should keep the children, thats a BIG responsibility and so many things could go wrong. I would take the waitress job or another that you would be trained for and have someone around to help out. Besides, you can make good tip money. Any experience at your age can only help but do be careful about sitting with children until you know you are capable!!
Date: 5/23/2003 1:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 36766    Busy Bees answer is a good one...but I would go for the babysitting, watching 3 kids is fun, I sometimes babysit my 3 cousins (ages 2, 4 and 6), never a dull moment when it comes to watching those 3 boys
Date: 5/23/2003 1:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    If I were you I'd apply for both....But if it were me i'd skip the baby sitting LMAO I had to watch about 50 kids yesterday and gosh was it a nightmare..plus I only get $15 bucks for it....whenever they choose to pay me that is...UGH
Date: 5/23/2003 1:27:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 15400    Thank you for your comment Busy Bee, and you have an excellent point. Children are a HUGE responsible item. I wouldn't mind working with kids so much, if they seemed to like me. Little kids or I should say children of all ages seem to like my 12 year old little sister more than they do me. Waitress job, I'm not sure of. I heard they don't serve alcohol, but I'm very weary of getting fired shortly after I start. Wow, three boys Baby Cakiez I bet they are a handful. =P Poor, poor Becky. Sorry to hear the kids you baby-sitted were a bunch of little nightmares. LOL and $15 is better than $0. =p
Date: 5/23/2003 1:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 54968    You should do the babysitter job. Bring coloring books or movies to entertain the kids. It wouldn't be that hard.
Date: 5/23/2003 1:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 36766    oh yeah lol they're a huge handful, but I enjoy watching them, it's a lot of fun...I like it when they argue over things...the 2 oldest will argue over a marker and the 2 y/o, he'll just walk right over to them, snatch the marker away from them and take off running, giggling as he goes lol
Date: 5/23/2003 2:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 3538    Well, I started waitressing when I was 17 years old. I was such a horrible waitress, I really was.I would get the orders wrong, I would forget what drinks they had ordered and twice I spilled the drinks on a person's lap. Yes, I was that bad. I would also get lousy tips, since I was a lousy waitress. They only paid me $3.25 an hour and I did not make much tips, and also I had to report the tips at the end of my shift. I hated waitressing. I have never tried babysitting, so I don't know much about that, but I don't have the patience to deal with kids much, so I don't know what to say...If this is just a summer job, I would maybe try the waitressing. With kids, there is always a chance of them falling down or scraping there knee and there parents could accuse you of hitting there kids and all of that stuff.
Date: 5/23/2003 2:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 4614    I would go for the babysitting if I were you :p ...BUT, the waitress job is more of a real job and will look better on future applications/resumes...
Date: 5/23/2003 3:06:00 PM  From Authorid: 28848    Well I don't know you well enough to point out good or bad qualities but from what you have written here, I would say go for the waitress job.
Date: 5/23/2003 3:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 10245    I watched 4 year old triplets for a month... full time while thier mom had to be away. I was REALLLLY glad the month ended. You'll earn every penny you're paid. If you're not sure you're responsible enough, or don't have a lot of babsitting experience, you should probably pass on tht one :o)
Date: 5/23/2003 7:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 53558    Go for looking after the children, Princess Leo. You'll have a lot more fun. Great big hugs. Take care.
Date: 5/23/2003 11:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 26452    Eek, triplets?? lol. I don't know you very well at all, but I do know that it takes alot of patience and responsibility when watching 3 young kids.I baby sit my sisters 5 kids all the time, and its not as easy as it seems lol. If thisis any help, my step mother works at a restraunt, and she comes home with about $100 a night in tips and stuff.
Date: 5/24/2003 10:41:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    apply for both!! that way you take whatever one is offered... remember your not hte only one applying... and there is a good chance you won't be offered both... so apply to both and take the one you are offered!!
