The Kennedy Assassination story has fascinated people for many years, so you are definitely not alone. There are many good books about it. here are a few titles: Crossfire, by Jim Marrs (this is probably the most informative, because he also touches on other books and investigations by other authors). On the Trail of the Assassins, by Jim Garrison (this book was the basis for Oliver Stone's movie, JFK). Best Evidence, by David Lifton (he uncovers new evidence, and shows that Kennedy's body was doctored up *before* the autopsy in Washington DC!). There is a book which explores the Mafia connection, but I don't have the name right now. If I learn of it, I'll tell you. Also, remember what Oliver Stone said in his movie, "The How and the Who is just scenery...the real question is Why! Why was Kennedy killed? Who benefits? I dont think it was oswald mainly because if you see a video of the assasination JFK falls backwards and yet oswald was stationed behind him so thats why i dont think oswald did it  |

It's so weird cuz lately I have been looking for info on his assassination. Honestly, I think there were three people involved. They brought in the best gun man they had in the military and he couldnt fire off three shots in ten seconds. But yet Kennedy was kill by three shots in ten seconds. Even the angles at which he was hit dont match up.  |

All I remember about the assassination was that there were no cartoons on tv for a couple of weeks. Just clips of JFK! ok, So I was 4 years old and cartoons were a big deal! But I have read a lot of the theories, and there are so many holes in all of them. Oswald was obviously a scapegoat! I think OutOfTheBlue SHOULD post on this. I for one would be interested to read it!!  |

A while ago my history teacher spent basically the whole entire class period talking to our class about JFK's assassination. There was a lot of things that he mentioned including some very odd occurances that happened shortly afterwards. For instance, I remember him telling us that a reporter was looking for the people who actually witnessed the assassination. He came to find that something like 18 out of the 26 people that witnessed the assassination died within a few months after JFK was killed under very mysterious circumstances.  |

There was a good video made about the assassination which involved a lod to technical stuff and forensics. Anyway the angle of the bullet that killed him was wrong for it to be blamed on Oswald. They gave an extremely convincing argument for the bullet being fired from a storm drain. There is one at exactly the place where the shot happened. They did a reconstruction by putting a man in the drain with a gun. An interview with an ex cia man said that he was asked to be involved with the shooting but he refused. He said that normally the cia are only involved with overseas assassinations. They use the mafia for home jobs. Anyway I wish you well in your researching.  |

My opinion is it was the CIA and The Mafia working together.....The CIA didnt want to get shut down, and the Mafia helped swing three states to Kennedy's favor in the election, (one of which was Illinois) allowing him to win by the narrowest margain ever in a presidential election.....Then Bobby Kennedy wanted to end organized crime, they wouldnt stand for it......  |

I wouldn't be suprised if everyone had their hand in it. I watched a thing on tv a while back about this, and they showed the video of Kennedy being shot, it looked as if he was shot 2 (I believe they said) The gun that Oswald had couldn't have reached Kennedy but also the angle was wrong. To me, that shows a goverment coverup. Hopefully one day we will know what really happened. Kennedy had a lot of good idea's and his idea's (from my understanding) threatened jobs of people like th CIA, etc. CIA is a needed thing for our goverment. God Bless  |

What a collage of opinions that reflect almost every type of personality.JFK was also killed in the same ritualistic way as A. Lincoln: Both were killed in public,beside their wives,and in the back of the head.The conspiracy side consists of patsy's to place the blame,laws or major bills that were not passed or recinded and forgotten,and the sex lives of these presidents were very secretive,private people in public.Both men were hated by at least half of the United States population.Some How, Some Way.....Decisons are made and actions are taken.Simple statement yet the law of averages says that things always change in favor of any majority rule.Peace  |

Wrong.JFK's election was the closest election we had since the Bush/Gore race.I must admit that minorities did not have the right to vote.That definitely made a difference.He was not as popular as you might think...Peace |
