I agree that beating the snot outta a boy just because he wouldn't go out with you is going over board, I mean dang they're are other guys out there..lol However, if a guy is talking smack about you or just won't leave you be, then I say he has a butt kicking coming..lol |

I guess they're becoming more independent.. although the two cases above are a bit extreme |

i agree there are extremes and the case you did put up here is an extreme to one side....but i think it's a good thing that women in general are standing up for themselves more.. they arn't playing the helpless victim... 40 years ago... it would be VERY rare to see a woman on her own going to universty or owning a home... now it's common...50 years ago a woman wouldn't dare walk home alone at night... now... it happens all the time.. a woman can defend herself... that is the big difference.. she is no longer looked at as helpess in her little white gloves |

Perhaps women have decided not to be the doormat for men any more. They have always been the submissive ones. Look back to the 40's and 50's women always did what the man wanted. True times are changing for the better I might add. Women have decided to take their power back. You go ladies. |

Yeah women are more aggressive in my view. Sometimes this is a good thing. But other times it is very unnattractive. I don't mean I prefer doormats, but I found women who are aggressive have deep insecurity problems. They are not really happy with who they are. |

Yeah and have you noticed that not only movies have gotten darker, but also music is becomming more sad and depressing too. It seems that all music in almost every genre is based on some problem in life or heart ache. I think that it's just the media and entertainments way of keeping an audience. They have to play on our emotions and feelings so that they can sell records or movies etc. Oh yeah and this definately applies to tv and the news stations. How often do you see happy news broadcasts? They only show stories that are about murder and war etc. Because this is what people want to see, this is what brings in their ratings...so to anwser your question, No, I don't think that women are becoming anymore aggressive than in the years before. |

I think you just hear about it more often now. And it isn't expected in general society for a woman to be aggressive. So when a woman displays aggression, it becomes a news story or news paper article. |

RM, it's funny that you mention that about the songs, cuz love and heartbreak really are the two themes they hunger after...I know due to my dealings with the Nashville music brokers :) |

I've noticed it. I think people in general are becoming more aggressive though. The world seems to get worse everyday and I think people are scared or worried. |
