I am not a vet, but Diahrea means he is dehydrating. See if you can buy him a LOW sodium kitty kat food, give him LOTS of water, and make sure he is not getting into anything poisonous. LOOK CAREFULY at his toys, and look into all of his hiding spots, check to see if he is eating any houseplants or outdoor plants and if so, REMOVE them from his reach. (I mean potted house plants which can at times be deadly to pets depending upon the kind of plant) I hope that helps. |

The usual food that I feed him is Purina Kitten chow as well as a half a can of Fancy Feast a day. The only toys that he has are little balls with bells in them. We don't have any house plants either in here. We constantly keep a bowl of water for him beside his food bowl so I know he drinks alot. I don't know what could be the problem with him, but I'm beginning to worry. |

I went through this with my new kitten and I did figure out that it was his food. Even if you have switched back to his normal food..it will take a lil time for him to adjust. If it doesnt get any better soon..Id take him to the vet. |

Stop changing the food! Stick to one type and your kitty should improve, if not or if he gets worse then go to the vet immediately. |

Food changes, can upset their bellies, stick with one brand, did you notice any blood etc ? you should call the vet,I would just call the vet to let them know my cat had the runs and see if they thought I should bring the cat in for an exam.( I would mention the food change) |

Try not to change his food brand. Also, it's good to feed them both dry and canned food, try and alternate them. Maybe it's the fact that he's only eating the canned kind. If alternating his food doesn't work it would be good to take him to the vet. Another thing, with diarrhea they tend to get dehydrated so I suggest buying kitty gatorade, yes, there is such a thing, obviously not named gatorade but you can ask for it at the pet store. Hope I've helped. *hugs* |

Oops, didn't read your reply, I see you feed him both the dry and canned food. I agree, it's the food change, if you ever want to change the food again wait till he's an adult for they adjust better. And again, be careful he doesn't get dehydrated. |

Oooooohhhh ! Cats ! Cats have very sensitive stomachs . Never ever change a cats food . Their stomachs are easily upset . If I were you I would plant some wheat seeds and grow some grass so your cat can chew on . It helps settle their stomach . Also , if you can , put their cat food in a bowl,( if its canned ) into the microwave for 10 seconds . I always give my cats food to them at room temperature . It helps them cats out . Razzy aka |

Canned cat food can be a little too rich for a young kitty's digestive system. Try some of the dry foods for a while. If you think that the dry food is too hard, just let it soak in some warm water for a bit to soften it. Don't feed him milk that will make the diarhea worse. |
