T hinking I might rhyme a lick
Y et knowing naught of Limerick,
P oetic styles like Paradelle and
E pigrams I know not well.
S onnets and Fables I outgrew.
O nce I tried a Haiku.
F ree Verse? The thought passed my mind.
P oetry, though, I think should rhyme.
O des and Ballads I might try.
E pitaph? Only if I die.
T yburn just is not my thing.
R ictameter, a harder scheme.
Y et to write a single line, (I still think poetry should rhyme).
