No way, I found USM because of the Paranormal stuff, Then I found out what USM was all about. I found this site "Safe" and educational,and of course fun. I have no problem with my daughter being a member. Why? Because everyone here at USM are good people, George and Ginger have created an "Internet Oais" in vast and sometimes vile wilderness. Thats just what I think anyway.  |

I got linked here because I typed a word in to search and it showed up in a poem, the search showed me the site, I read the poem and decided 5 bits wasn't a whole lot to pay to be able to communicate with some pretty talented people. Now I haven't been here long, as you can tell,but it seems I joined in the middle of some sort of upheaval. There is a lot of stuff flying around that I have no clue where it came from.I feel a little overwhelmed by it but, you know...oh well. What I can say is, I kinda like the fact that the site is g-rated. I mean I cuss with the best of them but a g-rating forces you to discuss things like adults and not just by being flat out rude. Eliminating the ability to degrate people with crude language is one of the first steps to forcing people to think and not just regurgitate what popular views are. I joined here because I was hoping I could find a place where people think for themselves. And I did. This thing you are hypothosizing doesn't souncd like a place I, as an out and out newbie, would like to visit. I like USM, and I hope all changes that happen here are for the best. I want to be able to make friends here. But why does it sound like alot of people are giving up on USM? Can any of you who say you like it they way it is help me out with this question? <regretfulhalo>  |
