Just as an FYI, with all the exercising you are doing, you are probably developing some muscle, and one thing thats gets alot of people is that they dont know that muscle weighs more than fat, so when you think you are overweight, your not, you just have a lot of muscle... Also with the pant sizes, muscle fills in the same amount of space as fat would... it can also be your body type, or genetic. I wouldnt worry to much about it, you seem to be in good health, and most likely are a beutiful person, but in the off chance that you are more worried about it, you can see a nutrionlist(i think thats how its spelled) and ask them about it, as well as an instructor at your local gym. Good luck:) PC |

One more thing, cause I reread the post to make sure I didnt miss anything, If you dont eat enough, your body wont have the energy to burn off all the fat and calories it is supposed to. Just another piece of advice |

The weight range is very stereotypical.... Im supposed to be like 150 at my height, which is 5'6 and I am 193, due to the fact that my body is mainly comprised of muscle... I dont go by those charts.... they annoy me....LoL |

AND DRINK MORE THAN WATER!!! Orange juice and other fruit juices (the real ones, not from concentrate or artificial) are soe of the best things you can drink. Cranberry especially, it cleans out your system very well, and orange gives you vitamins that you need. Also... are you taking vitamins daily? |

No carbs and LOTS of water.. TONS of veggies (stay away from potatoes and corn.. they are CARBS!) TONS of exercise (running is great as are crunches!) I lost 6 pounds in two days (results are NOT typical.. I just put on alot of weight recently and I think that's why so much of it quickly came off.) |

There are several theories to weight loss that work. The first is counting calories. You can look up on the internet how many calories per day you should be eating. Then, to lose weight you need to eat 70% of that. If you eat too little, then your body (being an incredibly smart organic machine ) think that you are in the middle of a famine and will do everything that it can to not use any stored resources (fat). If you do the calorie counting method, you should spread out your food so you have five meals per day and you need to drink lots of water. Second diet that works but it takes a long time is rotation. Three days per week you eat very low cal meals. Four days per week you eat a balanced diet. The third way to lose weight is to reduce your carbs. Go to the library and read Atkins book. This may be difficult for you since you are vegan. Just skip the meat and go for the rest. With all diets you need to get lots of exercise (sounds like you've got that covered ) and drink lots of water. Three miles per hour on the treadmill probably isn't enough work to get you into a fat burning zone. You need to get up to 5-6 miles per hour. Speed burns the calories faster. It will take you some time to built up to this speed. Best of luck. |

Yo could go on a carb. diet. You look at the carbs on the product if it is 26 carbs or more you cant have it... Or something like that. You could work out too. |

I'm a vegetarian too and Im also overweight. But I have some sort of medical problem with my metabolism. I'm 5'6" and I weigh 155lbs. I am an emotional eater, too, so I feel your pain...Whenever I get depressed, I feel like I DESERVE to eat something I enjoy. It's hard to curb the cravings...but I guess its worth it in the end. Just remember, dont take it too far and starve yourself, you could get REALLY sick from that, take my word for it. Always bare in mind that its who you are inside that matters, not what you look like on the outside! Good luck, if you find something that works and is healthy, tell me PRETTY PLEASE! :)LOL |
