I don't think they should make a remake, maybe a sequel would be interesting, but a remake doesn't always end up as great as the original, like the shining..the original was better :) but its good for the new directors experimenting i believe :) |

that is the reason why they are remaking them... but with who is filming it it should be intersting... it depends on who plays charlie and who plays willy wonka |

i personally don't think it's right to remake a movie when the orignal maker of the movie is still alive and so is most of the cast |

A remake of Willy Wonka?!?! I don't agree with that at all.. The Original is great, nothing can beat that!!! Ah.. people should just leave "history" alone! |

Isn't it supposed to be Mike Meyers playing Willy Wonka? He is great, woo hoo Canada! Seems all the truly goofy comics are from here. |

As long as they leave "The Wizard of OZ" and other Judy Garland movies alone, I'll be okay... |

They are doing a remake of Dawn of the Dead and that really chaps my hide! Grrrr I'm so mad, it's going to be awful, that and TCM too! |

they need to leave Willy Wonka alone, that's a movie that should not be bothered, it's a classic |

movie remakes will happen. In one way they are a good thing because they keep the children interested in the stories, and we can always show them the original and let them make up their own minds. The only thing I can see that would be different in a remake of this film would be the special effects and they dont make a movie, the cast does... |

That would be weird. It would be interesting to see what they can do with all the technology they have now. I still love Willy Wonka how it is now. |

Hmmm, well it will be very difficult to find a better Mr Wonka, but the kid who played Charlie was (and of course this is just my opinion) one of the most annoying child actors ever! For all those of you who love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, you should really watch the Family Guy episode "Wasted Talent" (series 2, ep15) and for those of you who hate re-makes, you should definatly watch the South Park episode "Free Hat" (series 6, ep9). They're both hilarious! |

I agree, thats a classic and they should leave it alone. I think they should maybe make a sequel. I remember reading Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. Its been many years ago but I think that was the story continued after the Chocolate Factory. They should make a movie out of that if anything. |
