Cassie began her treck home. It was a really long way. She hated it but she had no other choice. She decided to take the shorter way. Through the woods. She followed the trail she'd followed only a few times before. She was thinking about all the weird stuff that happened that day. That boy. Then her dream came flooding back. She felt a chill rise through her. She walked faster and looked around. It started to get cloudy and dark. Cassie was beginning to get scared and started to walk faster. Then she heard footsteps. She froze and turned around. Just like my dream, she thought terrified. She looked around. Nothing. She didn't want to find out what was lurking around so she took off into a dead run along the trail. Her backpack was banging against her as she ran but she didn't care. She just wanted to hurry up and get home. Lightning flashed in the sky and thunder roared. It just made the woods even more eerie. Then, as she raced along the small trail, she tripped over a root and landed hard with her backpack landing ontop of her. She layed there for a moment breathing heavily. She got an arm under herself and turned over. She layed on her backpack for a moment and sat up. She was caught in the root. Then a flash of lightning came, illuminating the shadows. Sho far, she was alone. She began to free her foot quickly. Then the sound of footsteps sounded like thunder in her ears. Her eyes stung as she tried to free her trapped foot. Closer and closer the sound came. A tear rolled down her cheek as she tried to choke back the sobs that were coming. She finally got her foot loose and stood up quickly. She turned to run and ran into something. She froze in terror as she heard the english accent and soft voice fill her ears, "Easy now. Calm down. What are you doing out here in the middle of the storm?" She took a step back and looked at Bryan. She couldn't speak. He looked concerned for her. She shook her head and replied softly, "I was going home." Bryan nodded. She mat his gaze. His eyes were beautiful and beckoning. "I better go now," Cassie said shakily fighting back tears. "Why don't you come clean up at my house? You are standing in my backyard," Byran said. Cassie realized that she must look like a mess and blushed. He held out his hand to her and she took a step forward. He slipped his arm around her and lead her to the house. Cassie felt so much better but she was still scared. Then a flash of red filled her mind and she stumbled. Bryan caught her and kept her steady, "Are you okay?" cassie nodded slowly. The red looked like blood. Something was telling her not to go with Bryan, but she was too weak to fight. She had no other choice.
