Bryan helped Cassie up the steps to his house. All Cassie could see in her mind was blood. Bryan opened the door and helped her in. He helped her to a couch and turned on a lamp. "I'll be right back," he said softly. "Okay," Cassie replied as he exited the room. Blood, blood, blood, she thought, What's with the blood? Bryan came back and handed her a glass of water. Cassie gulped it down. Her throught was raw and her lungs were burning from the long run. Cassie was light headed. "Cassie," Bryan whispered. Cassie looked at him. "Yeah," she said softly. He looked at her with a crooked smile and shook his head softly, "Uh, nevermind." The room was very dim but Cassie could tell that he was blushing. "Uh, where's your bathroom," Cassie said. He pointed and she went. She found it quickly and turned on the light. She shut the door and locked it and looked in the mirror. "Bled," she said making a disaproving face. She was dirty and her hair was everywhere. "I look like a barbarian," She said. She washed her face and straightened her hair. There was nothing she could do about her clothes. She sighed and went back to the couch. Bryan was gone. She looked around. A flash of red went through her mind. She grabbed the arm of the couch to steady her. She could barely stand and her legs felt like jelly. Someone grabbed her from behind. She was terrified. "Don't move," she heard the English voice say softly, "This won't hurt." Cassie tried to run but Bryan was too strong for her. "Stop fighting he said harshly. Then she felt a warm breath on her neck. She closed her eyes and the flash of red came again Then she felt a slight sting on her neck. What is he doing, she thought frantically. She trembled a bit. He's drinking my blood, she thought. She felt his arms around her like an embrace. But why, she thought. Then she slipped into her dream. The eerie woods. She was running. So dark, she thought. She trotted and looked around. She found a giant rock and sat down taking a deep breath. She looked around. Nothing, as it always was. Then a shadow towered over her. Cassie froze. She didn't want to see who or what it was. She couldn't help but to want to. Her curiousity driving her to wanting to know. She was fighting with herself. She slowly looked up. It was Bryan! She stared at him in confusion. He just smiled. His smile is strange, she thought. She stared. "Come," Bryan said beckoningly. She saw the glitter of fangs as Bryan smiled. No, she thought. His eyes were like silver fire. Cassie was terrified. Then she began to slip into consciousness as the image of Bryan faded.
