Some years ago I was talking on IRC with some people in England, and one of them told a story which was pretty hilarious. Mean, too, but funny.
This guy (I think his name was Simon) said that a few years ago, one of the channels in England (this took place before satellite TV) showed the movie Salem's Lot. In the film, there's a scene where the vampires are outside a house, scratching on the windows to get in. Simon said his sister really freaked out at that part.
A couple nights later the house was awakened in the middle of the night by a blood-curdling scream. The family rushed into Simon's sister's room, where they found her sitting up in bed, pointing towards her window. She kept saying, "Scratching! Scratching! Scratching!" Simon's dad opened the window and showed her that there was nothing there, but she kept whimpering in fear. Then Simon noticed that his two brothers were not there; then they heard some noises from the attic.
In the attic, they found the two brothers, laughing their heads off! Between the brothers was an old tree branch with a rope tied around it. They'd been leaning out the window, dangling the branch down to scratch at their sister's window!
I don't know what happened to the brothers, but I can think of some pretty wicked punishments!
Sorry if I've posted this before. I think it's a pretty good story!
