I've never had a kid, want one some day. I was watching something on TV the other day, can't remember what, and the character was saying that they aren't bred well b/c they weren't even born in a hospital. I think that's interesting! Who hasn't been born in a hospital? I have, how exciting! But I'm sure some of you out there were born in unusual places Maybe in the car on the way to the hospital? For those with children, did you have your children in the hospital? I've been reading about water births...now those are interesting!

Date: 7/12/2003 8:33:00 PM  From Authorid: 62221    I was born in an Air Force hospital, so nothing exciting over here. Water births are interesting aren't they. *Brown Eyed Angel*

Date: 7/12/2003 8:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 15400    I was born in a hospital. No children or my own yet which is good at me age. =D I think water births are very interesting as well.
Date: 7/12/2003 8:45:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Hi BrownEyed, bet you sure have done a lot of traveling though? So I'm guessing one of your parents are or were in the miliary?
Date: 7/12/2003 8:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 19482    I was born in a hospital, and I told my mom the other day that if I couldn't give a natural or water birth (I don't want to be cut open in a hospital, I want to be able to give birth at home) I wasn't going to give birth at all and adopt babies instead.
Date: 7/12/2003 8:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 17156    Well My son daughter and myself were all born in the same hospital. The twist is the Hospital had a different name when I was born it was General hospital when my babies were born in was fwb medical center. I know not a birth in a car but i thought it was interesting :) Love and Hugs,
Date: 7/12/2003 9:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 53909    I was born in a hospital. No children yet. :) When my aunt was preggers with my cousin, they were rushing down the highway because she was in labor. She gave birth to my cousin in the car while going to the hospital. It was on some highway. LOL
Date: 7/12/2003 9:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 53909    I mean, it was in a van that they were driving, down on of those small 2 lane highways out in Idaho in a small town. :)
Date: 7/12/2003 9:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 62221    Got that right B.Monkey. Both parents were in the Air Force. Definitely did a lot of traveling, I was born in Berlin, also lived in England and visited Amsterdam, to name a few. It's been fun though. *Brown Eyed Angel*
Date: 7/12/2003 9:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 53689    A friend of mine recently had a baby. She had planned on having the baby at home with a midwife. But because she was in labor for 36 hours the midwife decided that she needed to go to the hospital because she (my friend) was getting so tired that she wouldn't have been able to push when the time came.
Date: 7/12/2003 9:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 3648    Well I was barely born at the hospital myself ....I came two months early but yeah 3 minute after getting there I was born..All 4 of my kids were born at the hospital....we did think our youngest was going to be born any where but the hospital but we lucked out I guess :D
Date: 7/12/2003 9:24:00 PM  From Authorid: 36766    I was born in a hospital, I don't think it's up and running anymore though...I don't have any kids yet, I doubt that I will either
Date: 7/13/2003 1:08:00 AM  From Authorid: 61677    I was born in a birthing center. Not sure how different that is from a hospital. Both my kids were born in hospitals.
Date: 7/13/2003 4:07:00 AM  From Authorid: 62104    nope just the plain old hospital is where i had my two kids and thank goodness for that, dunno what I would've done if i wasn't there esp since my youngest had the cord wrapped around her neck.

Date: 7/13/2003 4:52:00 AM  From Authorid: 52746    My two sons were born in hospital and, particularly for the first one, I'm so glad he was. During delivery, he aspirated meconium and had to be in an incubator for 18 days because his respiration was too high and his oxygen saturation was too low. Had he been born at home, he may not have received the medical attention he needed and may have died as some babies do die of meconium aspiration.
Date: 7/13/2003 5:15:00 AM  From Authorid: 10245    All 3 of mine were born in hospitals~ One wasn't a full fledged hospital, but it was full of medical equipment ;o) We almost didn't quite make it to the hospital with the last one... almost had him in the car, but we made it to the ER :o)
Date: 7/13/2003 8:27:00 AM  From Authorid: 22852    I had both of my sons in a hospital.. I almost had my second son at work but luckily I made it to the hospital in time..LOL
Date: 7/13/2003 4:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 58030    yeah my sister was saying one day when she was at the obstercins(SP?) they were talking about having a water birthing tub thing but the women at that particular hospital were like no way, cus if they were giving birth they wouldn't want to be in all that mess.... i was born in the hospital, both my sisters were also
