this site has become more then the basics now....it has grown by leaps and bounds... but that is the reason why they came out with a "main page" and a "all posts" page... and also... isn't this part of the reason why the steering committee was brought in??  |

frank i was not trying to bring up an area where you didnt want to go i was commenting it because i thought that is what it was for..it's unfortunate that things didn't work out and i must agree with warrior spirit... the basics arn't dead USM has grown to add more then just the basics |

Well, the Members of this site all have a life... all ages. They have opinions, they have different likes and dislikes.. USM is not just the paranormal anymore, it is LIFE! Life at school, Life at work, Life at home, LIFE in General. With all the catagories listed to the left, I doubt very seriously that it ever goes back to being just a paranormal site. A kid comes on here and has a broken heart because the b/f-g/f broke up with them, and it makes them feel better to post it, then I am all for it.. post away :)  |

This site has become so much more. It is people, real people who honestly care. And if it is one or ten, that is enough. Sometimes that can mean everything to someone. I don't know what G & G intended when they started this site. I was here early on and maybe it was orginally a "paranormal" site but people came together in a way that is doesn't happen on many web sites. I think and, I believe that has become the concept of USM,(taking from Hey Larry). Personally there is no where on the web that I have connected with people like I have here, many I have HOURS talking to on the phone, sending cards and gifts, letters. USM is the only place I have spent time in and developed relationships with real people, who HONESTLY care.  |

And everything I have seen George and Ginger post has been directly indicticative of the meaning of what their web site means to them. Robert Stack had his own site and this site states clearly that it is not "affililated with Unsolved Mysteries Television Show". As for paranormal there are some excellent stories he could have enjoyed, we have many wonderful writers, your own stories, for instance, which are in catigories and can be viewed by preference. |

Frank, If you want others to get 'back to the basics', then maybe you should start by setting an example, are your future post here at USM going to based on the basics?...We shall see.  |

excuse my typos Frank, I'v had a long day. I know what you say, but I HAVE some people here that have become REAL friends to me. They have faces, and they have concerns that I care about, I have people here who call me and they have become very REAL. I feel as if I know them, I know their families, I DO care about them and without USM I would never have met these people. Each of them are real to me, very real. I appreciate them, the care, and feeling that comes in PM, and the gifts and cards, USM has given me some wonderful friends from all over the world. |

Ms. Priss, I doubt that they will so it's no mystery. This site isn't really about that anymore. Shadowghost, with everything that George and Ginger write, I think it's obvious what their intent for this site is. It's all about love and I don't think anyone could ever dispute that fact. Love everyone all of the time. Don't worry. I know it's hard sometimes but you'll be rewarded regardless of your beliefs. USM is just love and that's all. At least, that's how it's supposed to be. I hope I said all of that right. |

I honestly don't worry or care about rewards, truly! I care more about people. You have some of the paranormal stories here that I have read! I search by catagory, and I love reading the mysterious as much as anything. Your own writing is outstanding here when it comes to paranormal as well as just being " a friend". USM is so people oriented though, that I cannot concieve of us not being ourselves here and revealing our thoughts, opinions, the things that hurt, or bring happiness. USM has just been the place we bring ALL and everything to. |

What I'm saying has a lot to do with your opening statement on this post. Why in the world would Robert Stack call you and complain about USM with such things as ticks being on poodle hineys. I think if Robert Stack had any complaints with USM, he would have had sense enough to call the owners of the site, George and Ginger. Personally, I highly doubt Robert Stack ever called you to begin with. Others on this site may believe that, but I dont. Why make up something that is not true? Is this your way of getting attention? If it is, then you what I'm talking about. |

Yeah, but USM has grown and changed ... i've been here for a couple of years and i have seen the evulation of USM. I guess it just caters for a wider audience ... i personally dont mind it. I can read posts about ghost, ready fiction stories, get some great reciepes and read some funny jokes .... i quite like it actually. JMO though :)  |
