this probably IS something to do with a virus or attack that you have had on your machine. You need to find where this thing is on your machine, adn that means booting it back into windows. From the desktop click on START, then click on RUN and in that box type REGEDIT. Press enter. Click on EDIT, then FIND and in that box type WSSCRIP and click FIND NEXT. If it finds anything (and it will) come back to me and tell me where it is finding it (I can talk you through it if you wish)  |

ohhh I hate computer problems like that. Sooo annoying! I would probably wipe everything out and install everything again. We had to do that several times with our computer. I hope that we don't have to do it again any time soon.  |

Well I just got off the phone with Ad/Farleys, and its a virus!! Waaaaaaaa!! Good news though..he gave me what I need to get rid of it, so wish me luck! Im not going to tackle it tonight but I will be doing it tomorrow! |

Glad you found out what was wrong and it is fixable..we just got back online yesterday we had major DSL troubles and part of the problem was the firewall contributing to the not being able to sign on , I called AOL so many times and got shuffled all over between Mcafee($2.95 per minute for tech help!!! not looking forward to the phone bill) and Compaq such a mess here but thankfully we are back online :)even our dial up was working like crud we could only read email not visit any websites :( LOL  |
