Chapter Fifteen, 'Whos,wheres and whys'

Although Raven and Dave were not partners,they'd promised to help eachother as best they could with their projects.Raven didn't have a partner,so this worked out pretty well."A biography on a student who died almost fourteen years ago?!Weird!" Dave chirped. "I wonder why they would want students to study something so...pointless,"
"Maybe there's an ulterior motive,like one of the students that died was killed by another student and they want us to help them figure it out,"Raven said seriously. David didn't laugh. "It makes ya wonder though,doesn't it?" asked the brown haired boy. "Ya," Raven trailed off. "OH MY GOD,WHAT IS THAT?!" Raven pointed to something under Davids face.
Looking up at her,Dave slowly responded,"I'm not falling for that,"
But Dave trailed off when Raven pulled a ball of hair from his jacket."Dude,I swear I thought it was a spider!" Raven laughed. David punched her arm lightly,and it turned into a odd brawl of sorts. "Okay okay,let me go!" David whined,and Raven only stopped pulling his arms from behind when she heard a crack. "Not bad for a girl,huh?" Raven cracked. "Sure.So when's first study session?" "Meh,I thought we could meet up at school,"Raven said causually. "Aww," he whined,but his complaint ended in laughter when she jabbed him in the ribs. "Could you please stop doing that?It hurts!" "Sissy," she muttered as they came in front of her old house,and kissed him on the cheek before walking up the steps.She turned while walking and waved goodbye,but David had apparently walked behind her.He kissed her cheek,much to her surprise,and ran away laughing. "I'm gonna get you for that!" she laughed,then walked into her house.
~ "Ah yes,our little Casanova hath returned from the depths of mushy love?" Shae smirked."Yes,he hattthhh,"David returned,making fun of the 'th' sound. "Yea,well what else is new," Shae shot back."I swear,you two are such children," Gary commented as he came in from the living room. "Ya,this coming from the man who had to fly out last minute with his wife to Disney land while his son was going out on a date?" Shae raised an inquisitive eyebrow. Gary coughed and said nothing more,but David snickered. _+_+_+_+_+_+_+
Jeremy yawned as he came in past the screen door.He walked over to the computer,after hassling with his younger sister,and turned it on.After a few minutes,he got on the internet and soon found what he needed for the school project.Scrolling through dead names,the individual glummers of light showing vacantly in his orbs,one finally caught his eye.He hurriedly scrolled back up,then down again.He looked at the name,closed his eyes and leaned backwards in his chair until he nearly fell out,then leaned back in again. "Hoh my goooood...David better check this stuff out!" He punched in number after number,and was rewarded with a ringing tone,but he was getting impatient...

Later on that night,David set up at his computer,and went into a search site (I'm not here to judge,ladies and gentlemen,not here to judge.)
He typed in the name of the school,the mascot,and pressed enter.It took several attempts to get what he really needed,but when he did he immediately dug his back pack out of his closet and took out his binder full of paper and a pencil. Placing the writing utensils to the side of the monitor,David clicked into a link describing those who had died while still attending school.He found some names,but he wasn't very interested.After a few more hours of searching,he turned off the monitor to go to sleep.What seemed like a few minutes later,his personal phone rang.Growling,he agitatedly pulled his covers off his body and stumbled his way over to his phone."Who wants to be hurt?" he grumbled irritatedly.
Yawning as Jeremy spoke,he replied,"Man,it's,"he cast a glance at his alarm clock, "two in the morning!What the hecks the matter with you?!" "Man,you might wanna check this out!" "Check what out!?" "The project man!You know,the 'I need to learn about dead peoples lives in school' thing?" "You mean people who died while attending ADHS?" "Heck ya!!" "What's so important?" "Man,the project is due tomorrow and you didn't even check it out at least?!Man you're lazy!" "They only gave us a day to do the dang thing," Dave retorted. "Look," Jeremy sighed,"All I'm sayin is to check it out,man,You're gonna see some funky names up in there," "I already saw some funky names up in there!I DID check it out,you know!"
"Just go back and look under the M files early at school in the library,a'ight?I think you're gonna find something that's not gonna be cool wit you,hear what I'm sayin'?"
"Huh,sure,listen,I can't talk to you right now,I can smell the colors," David yawned tiredly and clanged the reciever repeatedly until it finally hit its intended mark.
Jeremny held the phone away form his ear and looked at it with a confused expression on his face. "That boy's got issues like you wouldn't believe,"
he muttered,as he walked away,tossing the portable phone on the couch and heading back up into his own room.
