NEVER BATHE A SLEEPY CAT! MissC.

I am posting this under horror, cause I look like I just walked out of a gruesome murder scene.

My kitten got out of the house the other day, *Sniffles* and when he got back in he had fleas... *Bandages scratch number 35*

So tonight I went out and bought a flea shampoo and a new collar and some toys to appease the foul mood I KNEW he was gonna be in after the torture subsided.

Right, I am such a fool. Such a MINDLESS FOOL!

the cat wa napping "Peacefully" on the floor. So I wnt and drew the bath... *Sniffles* I got my gloves on, and set up everything I would need for the "Deed"

Then, I went over and carefully picked up the cat, Skillfully petting him and calming his nerves as I walked sloooowly into the bathroom.

I guess cats can smell fear, cause as soon as I got to the threshold of the bathroom, he began to make a funny noise. He sensed that I was frightened of him.

I carefully lowered the little playful cudly mass of fluff into the tub... and WHOOSH! the FIGHT COMMENCED!

He clawed and Bit, Scratched and KICKED, I held my own, but I knew, this fight would be lost...

While holding him with one hand I reached over and snatched up the bottle of shampoo, (Baby Powder Scented) and Poured a little on, and the cat did something I shudder to remember, he HISSED and BIT ME REALLY HARD! THEN RAN UP MY CHEST AND DANCED ON MY SHOULDERS FOR A MINUTE!!! I screamed, and my sister came to the door knocking, "Candy, is that You or the Cat???"

I was nearly defeated, but I HATE FLEAS!!! So on I trudged...

I snatched the cat off of my shoulders with a quick TUG, and along with the cat came half the flesh on my back.

Well, anywho, it is all over now. I tried to calm him, and please him with the new toys, but, it just didn't work. He is sitting on the couch now, starring at me, with this evil look of VENGENCE on his, once cute little face.

He keeps looking at me, every time I move, and I am afraid to sleep tonight.

*Sigh* at least he liked the little bow tie collar I got for him... Oh wait, he just ripped it off... *Bandages scratch number 57* I am NEVER bathing him again...

How it changed my life:

I am never EVER doing that again...

God only knows how many bites and scratches we got. My bf tried to give Tigger a bath by himself. Then I hear a scream and a yelp. It was both the cat and my bf. LOL! I even took pictures of the cats when they had baths. This is Tigger's first bath. http://munchykins.tripod.com/catbath.gif Look familiar? Hehehe

Date: 7/31/2003 12:20:00 AM  From Authorid: 26452    Awwwww PSC, that kitten is ADORABLE! Awwwwwwww
Date: 8/1/2003 6:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 59861    i didnt think you were supposed to bathe cats. if you want to do it again, just open a capsule of benadryl and sprinkle it in some canned cat food., not too much food tho. it will make them tired and they give up faster. trust me, i know. and it dosnt hurt them at all becasue they give that to them at the vet. peace.
Date: 8/7/2003 8:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 59621    Aww sorry to hear that! I tried giving my cat Chester a bath, and it was horrible! He went crazy. I learned from that, never again. I hope your scratches heal soon. I know how you feel.
