I said good bye to all of my friends
promised I would see them all again
my family cried, as i drove away
i tried not showing how affraid, I was
tears were running down my face
as one dropped it gets replaced
it hurt to think, there was a chance
i'd not return
there so much I wish I'd said
over this our last week end
I guess in time
I felt this pulling shooting through my heart
as I fought from pulling away from your arms
I wish I told you everything I felt
i'd like to think the silence said, everything
and although leaving makes me sad
all the happiness I've found
overshadows the sadness
i feel inside
I know when I come back
I might lose what we now have
