You used to tell me
that you would never leave my side
You used to tell me
That I could always rely on you

It was all lies
You never cared.
only about yourself
noone else.

Your supposed to love me
As a mother, your child should come first
not second to a beer bottle
not third to the drugs and the pills

Im a grown woman now
you cant hurt me anymore
only yourself.
Dont rely on me for help nomore.

I know it sounds like
i've given up on you
But i've tried and tried with you
and nothing ever gets through

A person can only help so much
But it's you that needs to help yourself
Besides, I have my own family now
that needs my time, and my love

I will forgive
but NEVER forget
All the pain you put me through
This mother, is nothing more than the truth

All the physical, emotional, and verbal abuse
has scarred me for life.
But you have done one thing great for me,
I'm a better mother and a better wife

Im not like you
I will never let myself be like you.
I'm sure in your heart, you know that it's better off that way.
I dont hate you, but I dont like who you've become.
