As I go through life
On this uphill task
I've noticed one thing
From my days gone past
That no matter how hard
You try, or how far
You go,dreams always
Lay at the next star
You put in the effort
You try things each day
That you hope will send
You along on your way
Along down the path
To some happier times
Does your life now
Resemble mine
Do you struggle hard
With the things you've been dealt
Full scale of emotion
Of this, have you felt
Have you wept in pain
Or cried in fear
All of your anguish
Pent up in your tears
Do you ever sit down
And ask yourself why
You have more tears
Than most, to cry
The black sheep in town
Don't know how to fit in
In life you are fearful
You will never win
It's that niggling pain
Deep inside of you
Of knowing not what
You're here for, to do
Because no-one seems worried
About how you feel
Won't buy you some flowers
Or cook you a meal
When you are upset
Or you've had a hard day
Like everyone else, you need
Someone to say
That you should not fret
For they will be there
Because everyone needs
Somebody who cares
