“Father!” Julius said, “I need to have a word with you.” “Is that so, unfaithful son of mine.” The King replied. “Very well son, come my son.” Julius reached for the dagger he had tucked into this robe. Just then the door slammed open. “Sir, we have an intruder. She led the people to escape. Julius? Isn’t this young lady your friend?” Startled, Julius dropped his dagger which slid slowly down his robe onto the ground. “Son? What is the meaning of this? Truly you weren’t thinking of killing your own father. Take him out of here, I shall deal with the lady.” The King said. “No father, you leave her alone. It’s time to put an end to this terror. What you do is not right father. Mother is gone, it was all an accident!” “Hush your mouth! You weren’t there! You don’t know what happened! Take him out of my sight. I will not stand here hearing you scold at me!” The guards smacked him against his head with a sword, knocking him out cold. They pulled them away and shut the door. “So miss, you led the slaves to escape now did you? That’s truly admirable coming from a young lady as yourself.” He turned around and began to pour himself a glass of wine. Karen took the chance and slowly reached for the dagger and placed her hand behind her back. The King turned around, sipped his wine. “Well then, come here lady.” The King pointed to his side and swiped the gold finish on the handle of his sword. Karen walked slowly up to the King twisting the dagger in her hands. “That’s a good girl.” Karen slowly brought her hand forth to the point where it was only inch away from the King’s chest. Quickly she stabbed the King and stepped back. “What have you done! How could you!” He began to gasp and burst into flames. All his years of terror, wrath and torture towards the innocent had grown into a burning fire inside his heart. Guards came running in from the door and looked down at their King who the flames still devoured. All the guards stood their looking at Karen. “Miss, you, you killed the King. How, how can we ever thank you?” Confused Karen glanced at them and asked: “Thank me, but whatever do you mean?”
