Are they messenger pop ups or webpages that pop up? If its messenger(grey windows) I can help but not the other. I am annoyed at all the pop ups but still wont fork over money for pop up stoppers LOL! Anyone know where I can get one for free or next to free?

I hate them too. Won't I find the most ironic is that most of these pop up ads say things like "Do you want to stop pop ups like this forever?" Like I'm really gonna spend money at these people's website when they're the ones who are annoying me the most??? Grr...Hopefully someone out there has an answer for us. ~Gabrielle~ |

most of these are caused by adware installed on your machine, often without you realising it. Go to http://security.kolla.de and get the spybot software. This will search your machine and take out any adware, spyware, keyboard loggers etc. It is completely free and installs in seconds once downlaoded. Make sure you keep the software updated though, to catch newer advert software. |

Do you have WinXP? If so...go to start..click on control panels..click performance and maintenance..click administrative tools..double click on services..scroll down to messenger..double click on messenger..change the start up type to disabled..and click stop to stop the service. |
