15 reasons to hate the president..GWB...Pennyroyal tea party

And these are only since he's been inaugurated! This guy doesn't waste any time ruining the world...

1) He cut a half a BILLION dollars from the Environmental Protection Agencys budget. Who needs to look after the environment when theres all that oil drilling going on?

2) He approved a bill that denies financial aid to students convicted of misdemeanor drug charges (though convicted murderers are still eligible for financial aid).

3) He recently sent a delegation to the UN childrens summit to declare that the use of condoms is not a valid way to fight AIDS and that abstinence is the only solution. This is the view shared by some other countries such as Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Libya, Syria, and the Vatican. It seems that his policy of, "No child shall be left behind" has a whole new meaning.

4) He wouldnt sign the Kyoto Protocol agreement on global warming, which was ultimately signed by 178 other countries. He also told the entire European community that he would listen to their arguments, but he would not change his mind, effectively treating Europe like an 8 year old child. This may have something to do with why most of the world hates the US.

5) He rejected an international accord to enforce the 1972 treaty banning germ warfare. Of course that would mean that the US would have to stop producing biological agents too.

6) And talk about the fox watching over the hen house, he nominated former mining company executive Dan Lauriski as Assistant Secretary of Labor for Mine Safety and Health.

7) He allocated only 3% of the amount requested by Justice Department lawyers in the governments continued litigation against tobacco companies.

8) He prohibited any financial aid from going to international family planning organizations that provide abortion counseling, referrals, or services with their own funds.

9) He provided every member of the Bin Laden family living in the U.S. a chartered plane shortly after 9/11 to fly back home to Saudi Arabia without questioning them. One of GWs first petroleum venture was partnered with the Bin Laden family and George Sr. has been getting filthy rich selling defense contracts to the Bin Ladens. These are just some examples of the many ties the Bush family has with the Bin Ladens.

10) He officially withdrew from the 1972 Antiballistic Missile Treaty, gutting the landmark agreement-the first time in the nuclear era that the US renounced a major arms control accord.

11) Refused to join 123 nations pledged to ban the use and production of anti-personnel bombs and mines, February 2001

12) September 2001: withdrew from International Conference on Racism, bringing together 163 countries in Durban, South Africa

13) Over the past 10 years, the US prison population has more than doubled. This is mainly due to unfair three strikes laws, and harsher drug penalties. OK so maybe W. wasn’t behind this one, but the Republicans are.

14) International Plan for Cleaner Energy: G-8 group of industrial nations (US, Canada, Japan, Russia, Germany, France, Italy, UK), July 2001: the US was the only one to oppose it.

15) George replied, "Ken who?" when asked about his relationship with Kenneth Lay, the CEO of Enron, during the federal bankruptcy hearings. This was after Enron gave him their company jet to use for his presidential campaign. George and Kenny were such good friends that Ken was actually seen giving wedgies to the president in the oval office. Yet he still replied, "Ken who?"

Date: 8/4/2003 10:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 1799    i just want to say something before i read this.. expect a lot of crap for this post.. but i admire u for posting it.. now to reading it..lol
Date: 8/4/2003 10:37:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53548    haha i cant stand this man and i dont care..
Date: 8/4/2003 10:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 1799    i don't like him much either.. hmmm.. rather interesting, but i already knew he was a creep... u also have to think of all the lies he said to get ppl to think this war would be good.
Date: 8/4/2003 10:46:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53548    yea u totally see eye to eye with me i saw everything coming
Date: 8/4/2003 10:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    I don't agree with your post at all, although I respect your right to your opinion. When writing something like this though, you generally gain more credibility if you write the positives too, so people can make their own decision. I feel Pres Bush is a very good man, he's not only a good husband and father but a VERY GOOD PRESIDENT. Pres Bush has delt with more issues in ONE term, than most presidents see in two. He has done a lot of good in his first term even though he's never had a second to relax. It's amazing how people mention things to demean him but they could never handle things nearly as well, if they were president under the cirumstances he has been. I admire many things about him... not backing down to Saddam and getting rid of a MASS murderer while others ignored it for years, passing a nation-wide child abduction alert program (Amber Alert), doing all he can to prevent further terrorist attacks upon us and other innocent countries. I also admire the fact that he doesn't stoop down to the level of others, whose tactics of interogation are extremely questionable.
Date: 8/4/2003 10:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    Oh, by the way... the word "hate" is a bit harsh don't cha' think? You're saying that you hate someone that you've never personally met. Just an observation.
Date: 8/4/2003 10:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 1799    we had no real reason to go to war though. i mean, back awhile ago, yes.. but.. at this point no.. people have died for reasons that didn't even exist.. have u seen the news? he lied about the weapons of mass destruction.. he lied about a lot of things, and he's making himself look good by doing something else which probably isn't true either.
Date: 8/4/2003 11:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    Ummm Emi, I basically watched the entire war. Yes, WE had more than enough reason to go to war. Doing nothing would only promote this monster to continue his murders and atrocities. We should have done this years ago in completion. As for WMD's yes, they have plenty of proof to back that up but do you think that Saddam was dumb enough to leave it lying around out in the open? No, they already had people openly admit that it was destroyed before the war started. What you want to call lies.... only look that way right now. Saddam was involved with Al Quaeda and these ties have been proven. No, they haven't released ties to 9-11 but I'm sure Saddam was happy to see that outcome of that. Saddam was a bomb that had long been ticking and causing havock and was just waiting to explode on our turf. Bush made the right decision and I commend him for that.
Date: 8/5/2003 12:04:00 AM  From Authorid: 35720    Yeah, well he's a bit slow at times.. also, many countries hate us now. Why doesn't he focus on America instead of trying to police the world?? Just my opinion..
Date: 8/5/2003 12:24:00 AM  From Authorid: 26452    LoL I'm not much a fan of Bush either,my mom showed me this site, I think you might enjoy it www.dubyaspeak.com
Date: 8/5/2003 2:18:00 AM  From Authorid: 62116    You didn't mention the fact that he cut Medicaid for adults as of August 31, unless you're pregnant or homeless. Both of my parents lost their benefits. My father has trouble working due to Diabetes-related circulatory problems. My mother's had 2 strokes and a mild heart attack in the last year and has Angina. Bush has pretty much left them to die because he needs money for his army toys and business partners. That's the only reason I needed. ~Nytwolf~
Date: 8/5/2003 4:41:00 AM  From Authorid: 24856    One word sums up the Bush family......GREED.
Date: 8/5/2003 6:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 22852    well hello my little USM son. this post looks like it will be fun, I will come back and see what folks have to say..LOL.. oh and hey I did not vote for Bush nor will I do so in the future.
Date: 8/5/2003 7:55:00 AM  From Authorid: 54247    Do not agree with any of your statements. Do admire your coming forward with your views - many people your age really "do not care." Obviously, you care very much for the environment and the increased prison population doubling over the past ten years - odd, Bush has not even completed one 4-year term. Anyway, keep reading and remember most of the time politics is never what it seems. RAT
Date: 8/5/2003 7:56:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53548    THANKS FOR AGREEING MOM!
Date: 8/5/2003 7:57:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53548    im glad most of the people on this site are realizing the truth..bush is an idiot.hahaha
Date: 8/5/2003 9:10:00 AM  From Authorid: 60018    All I have to say is that I disagree.
Date: 8/5/2003 9:38:00 AM  From Authorid: 54987    I'm sure there are lots more. YOUCHOOSE why don't you make a list of the good things Bush has done in order to balance it out. Let's have 15 of them.
Date: 8/5/2003 12:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 62222    Yeah, I'd like to see a list of 15 things that Bush has done that are good for the US. I mean I can't think of any so I would be more than willing to read some....anybody got any? I agree with your post PRTP, and I definitely agree that GWB needs to go when his term is finished. <regretfulhalo>
Date: 8/5/2003 1:29:00 PM  From Authorid: 1799    Nytwolf.. god, thats horrible.. had my parents been on that (my step dad has diabetes and my mom has multiple sclerosis) i would have been so angry!
Date: 8/5/2003 6:09:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53548    i would like to see 15 good things bush has done to but i dunno if that can be dong but if someone tried hey ill read.
Date: 8/5/2003 6:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 24732    Some of these things are reasons why I like him
Date: 8/5/2003 7:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    For those of you telling me to list 15 good things that he has done... you are obviously only challenging me because you are one-sided on the issue. No president is perfect but at least this one is TRYING to do the right thing, even though he's delt with MORE in 1 TERM (not quite even yet), than any other presidents deal with in 2. So NO, I don't have to give you a list of 15 positive things because given most of the attitudes displayed here, I doubt you'd acknowledge them anyway. Try to be a bit more open-minded. Oh, any BTW Author...."the truth you think these people see" is only yours and it's your opinion to call the President an idiot; which is rude and naive I might add. No offense.
Date: 8/5/2003 7:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    Just for the record.... I know that the majority of my extended family and ALL of my immediate family, including myself.... will be voting for Bush. AND, we are very informed and knowledgable about the President.
Date: 8/5/2003 8:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 54987    You are? Great, then lets have these 15 things then YOUCHOOSE.
Date: 8/5/2003 8:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 54987    Come on ... don't be shy! We're all agog.
Date: 8/5/2003 8:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    Koolade...if you haven't noticed, I'm not shy around here. As for your request... I already gave 3 examples in my initial response. Why is it so important to you that I do so? Maybe that's the real question here.
Date: 8/6/2003 8:59:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53548    heyy i dont have anything against you at all YOU CHOOSE nothing against you i was just expressing my opinion i just dont see anything good about war i dont like war and i dont see what it solves i have not said anything remotly close to offend you so can you just kinda back off your like yelling at other people for their opinion
Date: 8/6/2003 9:30:00 AM  From Authorid: 54987    No YOUCHOOSE I was asking you to balance the debate with giving us 15 good things Bush has done. Yes it's true I am not a fan of Bush, but I'm quite willing to listen to others views.
Date: 8/6/2003 10:45:00 AM  From Authorid: 62222    I agree, I would listen if you posted 15 things he has done that there is concrete proof of. I read the "initial three" that you provided and only one of them is a proven issue and that is the Amber Alert. In case you hadn't noticed, There is not proof of WMD and as far as Saddam is concerned, that isn't an issue dealt with it is a mess we made that we are finally deciding to clean up. <regretfulhalo>
Date: 8/6/2003 10:47:00 AM  From Authorid: 62222    And for the record, considering we are asking for the 15 reasons we are obviously not being one sided on the issue. We are asking you to show us why we should support him, because we have already seen why we shouldn't. That isn't being one sided about an issue.<regretuflhalo>
Date: 8/6/2003 11:28:00 AM  From Authorid: 1799    regretfulhalo... very good. i applaud those comments. said them better than i could have right now.
Date: 8/6/2003 11:37:00 AM  From Authorid: 62222    *blushes* why thank you Emi. <regretfulhalo>
Date: 8/6/2003 4:30:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53548    I agree with EMI on this reguarding the comments made by Regretful halo
Date: 8/7/2003 5:12:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    Blah, Blah, Blah..... This is too funny. I'm sorry but I haven't yelled at anyone, only stated facts. After all... I'm not the one calling the President an idiot and copy and pasting something off the internet that is extremely bias. I don't have to provide 15 items because personally, it wouldn't matter to any of you anyway. You are all only listening to what you want to hear about the president. I would love to see anyone one person here deal with all that he has and do it better.... NOW that is something that could never happen. I don't mind opinions and constructive critcism but when you can't offer anything of the opposing nature in your view, it only shows prejudice. Anyway, I'm done here...Have a great night.
Date: 8/7/2003 5:14:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    One more thing.... Koolade, this ISN'T a debate...it's a discussion. There is a difference and I constantly see you mistake them for the same. Just for your info, no offense.
Date: 8/7/2003 5:24:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    PennyRoyal... forgot to add, you said you don't like war or see any good reason for it. That might be because you're living in a country where your family isn't murdered before your eyes, you have rights even though your female, can attend school past elementary level, haven't been used as an example for some crazy-man's mission by being blown-up in front of a building and have enough food for you and your family. I'm sure the Iraqi's could tell you why WAR can be a good thing. If no one ever defended themselves and war never happened, we wouldn't have a free country. Many men have died in war defending what they believed in and those they love and are hurt by people who say they're against war.
Date: 8/7/2003 5:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    ^^^ above, I meant for those that are female...
Date: 8/7/2003 5:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 15394    with eyes wide shut... what if? ``This is the worst government the U.S. has ever had in its more than 200 years of history.'' I didn't say that. That's the winner of the Nobel Prize for Economics. (Gore speech 8/7/03)... (2001 Nobel Peace prize winner)... what if: Saddam Hussein was partly responsible for the attack against us on September 11th (oops turned out to be not true) What if? Saddam was working closely with Osama bin Laden (oops turned out not to be true) What if? our GIs would be welcomed with open arms in Iraq... (hmmmm what do you think?) What if? the tax cuts would unleash a lot of new investment... (not happenin)... What if? most of the benefits would go to average middle-income families (you seeing it??)... my point, hind sight is awesome, lies are terrible, and if the gnawing feeling I have in my gut about being lied to is true, I'm gonna be sick...
Date: 8/8/2003 6:42:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53548    i would pay attention to 15 good things id give it the light of day why not id love to hear them maybe it would change my opinion im not close minded at all and definalty not prejudice so you need to stop jumping to conclusions before you know me there YOU CHOOSE.
Date: 8/8/2003 6:49:00 AM  From Authorid: 15394    boy ummm some of us need to re-examine the FACTS before thinking they have the information... it has been PROVEN that many of the ideals we held dear as to justification of a war were in fact LIES!!! oh don't like the word lie, well how about mis-interpretation, or mis-understood, or un-informed....
Date: 8/8/2003 8:56:00 AM  From Authorid: 62222    "I don't mind opinions and constructive critcism but when you can't offer anything of the opposing nature in your view, it only shows prejudice." Ummm, the opposing view is what we are asking for from you and you are the one not providing it. So we are prejudiced because you personally can't find 15 reasons why the president should be supported? The only person being rude or narrow minded here at this post is you. It is fine if you can't support your claims with facts or if you don't want to, just say that. But don't pretend like the reason you are not supporting yourself is because "we don't want to hear it". There are 4-5 people here who have asked for the info quite nicely and you keep talking about how it is a waste of time cause no one would listen. But we are the immature and prejudiced ones? The only one around this particular post who is "too funny" right now is you YOUCHOOSE. I find it extremely rude and childish of you to assume that simply because we agreed that we weren't happy with the shadiness of the Bush Admin that we would never listen to the other side of an argument. Oh, but I forgot I am judgmental and wouldn't listen to you no matter what...Yeah someone around here is real funny, but it isn't the "haha" kind of funny...<regretfulhalo>
Date: 8/8/2003 6:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    PennyRoyal... I didn't judge you anywhere on here, I only stated and commented on things YOU said.
Date: 8/8/2003 6:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    Jungabel, it's NOT my job to change your or anyone elses views. It's each person's own responsibility to examine ALL the facts and information to make the most accurate opinion possible. I didn't write this post and came here to state my opinions only. I did that and am only being targetted here because I won't jump on everyone eles's band-wagon. If people want to be better informed then THEY should seek out this information on their own so they will know how it was obtained and by what resources. No offense but I have a lot of things going on in my life and hardly have time to sit here and brief others on 15 positive things about the president. Go to the White house website or CNN and check this info for yourselves.
Date: 8/8/2003 7:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    regretfulhalo... that response right there is one reason I will not provide you all with this "information you all of the sudden seem to desire." I think that any intelligent person can seek out the obvious resources on this information. I didn't ask anyone here to provide me with 15 more reasons to "hate the president." I mean really. I can tell when someone is asking a question or for information with the intention of only rehashing ridicule (not you in particular). I am entitled to come to this post as is any other PERSON here that didn't agree with it and express that. THIS ISN'T a debate it's a discussion. A debate is something where you try to CHANGE the views of others.... a discussion is where you share your views. Enough said.
Date: 8/8/2003 7:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    Jungabel... SORRY, that above comment I made wasn't supposed to be directed at you, my mistake.
Date: 8/8/2003 7:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    PennyRoyal... one more thing, if you want to write a post with the intention of changing the views of others it should go in the (DEBATE setion). If you also want to only get replies from those that AGREE with you, maybe directing it to Anti-Bush Supporters would have been more effective... just a thought!
Date: 8/8/2003 7:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    Oh, FYI: When you copy something directly off the internet, it's proper edicate to give credit to the original writer and or reference.
Date: 8/9/2003 1:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 62222    Well, obviously you wanted 15 reasons to hate the president or you wouldn't have bothered to respond to the post in the first place. If you knew you weren't going to agree you shouldn't have responded. You are the one who turned it into a debate. (But by now we are so far off subject it isn't funny. No ofense PRTP but I won't be responding to this anymore. Not going anywhere if you catch my drift...*winks* Good post though sweetie.)<regretfulhalo>
Date: 8/9/2003 3:31:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53548    number 1 i did not copy this off the internet 2 i did not try to change views of anyone ok Nuff said about this its not a problem to me regretful halo im not gonna be responding to it either
Date: 8/9/2003 4:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    Regretfulhalo, I never turned this into a debate, I simply stated my opinion, which I have every right to do.
Date: 8/9/2003 5:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    PennyRoyal, I said "a debate is where you try and change the views of others" not that you did. I was explaining the difference between a debate and a discussion since there seems to be some obvious confusion here.
