TODAY'S QUESTION: (Submitted by Simplexity #62226) What is the current amount of pollution expelled by cars each year?

MY ANSWER: I wasn't able to come up with an average of all cars (seeming how I only started researching the topic this morning), but I was able to stumble across this website (http://www.carbusters.ecn.cz/magazine/studies.php#onecar). This site has many interesting points, and if you take the time to browse, I'm sure it will be well worth your time.

INTERESTING FACTS: 60 percent of a car’s pollution comes not from driving it, but from before and after its driving life-stage: Extracting raw materials: 26.5 tonnes of waste 922 million cubic metres of polluted air. Transporting raw materials: 12 litres of crude oil in ocean 425 million cubic metres of polluted air. Producing the car: 1.5 tonnes of waste 74 million cubic metres of polluted air. Driving the car: 18.4 kilos of abrasive waste 1,016 million cubic metres of polluted air Disposing of the Car: 102 million cubic metres of polluted air.

DAILY MOVIE REVIEW

**Ocean's Eleven**

I know that this is an older movie (2001), but if you haven't seen it, you must. Not only is this remake of the 1960 version starring Frank Sinatra smart, funny, and interesting, but you should check out the crew. George Clooney is the main character, backed up by the most impressive on-stage villians: Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Bernie Mac, Elliot Gould, Carl Reiner, Don Cheadle, Eddie Jemison, Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, and Shaobo Qin. Also starring in the movie are Andy Garcia and Julia Roberts.

In this movie Danny Ocean (Clooney) is released from jail with revenge in mind. PPicking up his old side-kick Rusty Ryan (Pitt), he begins a journey into Las Vegas with a plan in mind: to rob a vault that holds money from 3 of the biggest casinos in Vegas...which just happen to be owned by one man- Terry Benedict (Garcia). In the midst of trying to steal the money, Ocean has to get a crew full of villains (Damon, Mac, Gould, Reiner, Cheadle, Jemison, Affleck, Caan, and Qin), and get his girl back, Tess (Roberts) who has fallen into the arms of Terry Benedict.

Rent it on DVD or VHS today!
