Your going to think I'm a nutcase! By watching a horror film or by what I used to. I used to get a jar of sand from Tybee Island everytime I went and would save the sand and when I was having high stress i'd sift that sand through my hands (not the whole jar) and think of ocean noises and the waves, and it takes me to a special place, and art, art takes me everywhere, it conquers stress and boredom |

Practice. Random thoughts just keep popping into your mind. When you realize that you've popped up again just continue to meditate. It does take time. |

Well for a start, you don't TRY to meditate... you just DO it. It's not easy and many people give up very quickly. You probably know that the best method is to focus on something. Hold something in your hand, an object. That might help you to focus on it. As you focus on the object, begin to feel at one with it... that you are the object... you and the object are one. When focussing on the breath. Breathe in slowly and count to 5. As you breathe out count backwards from 5 to 1. Nice and slow. If any thoughts come, just accept them and let them go. |
