Ugh, that sounds like a crappy bank! I think you should definitely change...I would never bank anywhere that costs $6 dollars a month because I'm too poor for those kind of fees! LOL my checking account only costs a dollar a month and I can use the ATM for free so it's a pretty good deal. |

Blondie the ATm is free but it costs to go inside the bank and have a transaction handled by a teller....I would change banks...matter of fact I am changng banks as soon as my contracts with MSN(internet service) and Sea World(annual passes) run out next March. It makes it easier that way |

We banked at Bank of America years ago and had all kinds of problems. The bank I have now made me a senior account at 51, so I don't pay any monthly charge, I get my checks free and money orders as well. No charges for calling in, using their ATM or anything like that. I guess I am really blessed. |

I know I should probably do that Hey,Hey,Paula...we have been with Bank Of America for a really long time. We were with a local bank before but we switched cause whenever we went out of the area alot f places would not take our checks. We do not have that problem now though. Also with our bank before we would get other peoples checking statments with ours and I imagine occasionally other people would get our's also. I dont like the idea of total strangers having all(or alot) of my personal info |

One thing I have found is that you can write a check at Walmart anywhere as they have a national computer system. |

i think it's insane for banks to charge that is why i have gotten into the habit of carrying cash again!! our "paypal debit mastercard" doesn't charge for debt transations... yet |
