My mom had the cap on her head years ago when they frosted it,I thought for highlights they used foil now? hmmm Fiona Scissor hands got a hold of you,I don't know much about highlights ,but I watch the make over shows and the highlights hardly ever stand out bright, unless they used stand out blonde etc.. on purpose. |

Medusa, that's what I thought the cap was for, frosting hair. I asked her before she did much why she was using the cap and not foil, she said you can do it either way...I'd like to know what the difference is, I think also she may have left it on to long because another worker came up and looked at my head and asked me how long the stuff had been on...i didn't know, but she evidently went and got Fiona(LOL) because she came and checked my hair and washed it out right away. |

I would definately call the salon, and demand that you either a) get your money back because it wasn't what you wanted or b) demand that someone there (not fiona scissor hands lol) fixes it for free. |

You sound like my best friend when she first got highlights. I've gotten highlights before and its been with the tinfoil but usually for real short hair they use the cap. |

My hair was down to my shoulders, though the shortest layer now hits me above my check bone...so I don't know why she used the cap. |

Well at least hair grows right? lol My hairdresser uses the cap for my highlights and they always come out great, a nice sublte gold on my brown hair. I think foil allows for more color variation and stuff but it's wayyyyy more expensive. If you're really unhappy with it you should definately call and ask for a refund or someone to fix what she did. I can't imagine how she could do your hair w/nails that long! |

cutie-86, that's what I figure, it will grow out...but now that I think about it, I don't think this is a color on my hair, it is bleach...she bleached my brown hair!!!! to get the "highlights". so it is going to look awful as it grows out. I am going to go back and see if she can do something to tone it down, since I have thick blonde stipes.ugh! something more fitting for a teenager or younger person..I figure at least the cut will grow out. My friend sort of liked the highlights, but not the cut. |

I talked to my old beuatician today. He said bleach should never have come near my hair because it's so dark and to tell them to dye it and It'll probably have to be dyed several times before it grows out. So I called and told her I wasn't happy. I go in tomorrow so it can be fixed. It really is awful! |
