Gas prices Inflation costs dentists. Gotta love it

Hey everyone.. Gas is 2 bucks a gallon where I am at. It is expected to go up to 3.00 per gallon by Christmas. I am so livid about this! The park I always go to here is now charging 5 bucks per car! Starting Labor Day. I went grocery shopping last night and all the produce went up like crazy. My dentist is wanting to give me another exam and X-rays for 500 bucks. He just took x-rays and an exam at that price, just 4 months ago. He says it is the law. He so lied to me! What is this world coming to? I am really getting on this kick about becoming self sufficient. I am car pooling with people and not going anywhere that eats a lot of gas. I refuse to stand for this! What does everyone else think? I don’t mean to whine, but we are being so ripped off it isn’t even funny. What else can you do. But pay for it? This dentist where my friend works tells me all about how much they rip people off. How the office takes vacations every other month. She says it just makes her sick. Bush Garden tickets are now 65 bucks a person. At one time it was free. Then 5 bucks a person. Then 10. And so on! Now 65! This is nuts. I am on a rant. Anyone else wanna rant?

Date: 8/27/2003 7:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 13969    Why are gas prices going up again anyway?
Date: 8/27/2003 7:16:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34814    Who knows probably cause of a new virus.
Date: 8/27/2003 7:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    ouch I know my gas prices aren't that high yet but their working on it....1.61 and climbing...
Date: 8/27/2003 7:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 29532    High travel season and the blackout. Memorial day IS this weekend.
Date: 8/27/2003 7:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 54904    Bikes don't need gas
Date: 8/27/2003 7:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 45948    I so agree with you. I just got a letter in the mail today that my insurance payments are going up starting next month and that the premiums are going up. So basically I'm going to have to pay more out of pocket everytime I go to the doctor and PLUS I'm going to have to pay more out of each paycheck just to keep the insurance. If I didn't need it so bad, I would have called and gave them a piece of my mind. Love,
Date: 8/27/2003 7:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    actually it's labor day LOL if it were memorial day I'd be freaking out 'my wedding's this weekend? whaaaaaaat?' LOL
Date: 8/27/2003 7:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 16671    To tell you personally what I think and its this. It seem to me that shortly after the fires overseas that destroyed so much of the oil. "I mean bush did go to free the people and not worry about the oil right? right!" BUT shortly after that, OH NO suddenly LIGHTS out, lots of speculations and run arounds looking for the exact cause. YEP they will get it one way or another. I remember back in 72 or 73? One day the gas was 31 cents a gallon, the NEXT day, it was double that, plus ya had to wait in lines to get gas. They do this every so often just to justify raising the cost. NOW if they are going to raise the cost of everything so sky high, then the president should make MIN wage a lot higher than it is and enforce it. NO more of these piddly little laws that say , well if your working as a waitress in such and such population you only get what they give you, which is usually starting out at 2.15 an hour. The same with motels, if you live in a small populated area they can get by with only paying you 2.25 a room. I believe that ALL people should be paid MIN wage reguardless of where they live or the job they are doing. Ok, my rant is over.
Date: 8/27/2003 8:25:00 PM  From Authorid: 12341    I could be wrong, but I believe the oil fields in Iraq were secured before anything else. Hmmm.... I could be wrong, don't think so, though. Is anyone familar with "the Carlyle Group", do the name Haliburton, Bechtel, Cheney mean anything. Actually I smell a corporate feast.
Date: 8/27/2003 10:15:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34814    FB thanks for the insight. AHHHH it is so sick! Yes insurance is going up! My parents just had to give blood and hair samples and their insurance went up with that. Yup everything is gonna go sky high. I had to admit I am afraid to have kids.
Date: 8/28/2003 4:18:00 AM  From Authorid: 36079    hmm, well our gas was down to say 1.50, then within a couple of weeks it went up to 1.79. I have no idea what the heck that is all about. But where I live in the US Connecticut is the highest priced highest taxed well, its in the top 3 anyway, they had a new ciggarette tax the beginning of the year sending most ciggy prices to $5, I was told with that new tax we are the highest now. Although I do love the benefits, they do give back the money for this and that program. Like husky medical which is great. But governor Rowland, been for about 10 years now I will bet any amount of money will not get elected again. He cut school funding, cut alot of after school programs, laid off over 100,000 people, and waived early retirement in the sates workers faces to basically force many people to retire, I heard about 200k took the offer, they even offered it to people who hadn't worked long enough to get it otherwise. But then he got busted for using state money on numerous occasions for vacations, and for bringing him and his family and buddies out to a yankees game, they made him pay it all back too! lol Thats what u get. I highly doubt he will get reelected......
Date: 8/28/2003 3:37:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34814    What a nice guy for thinking about the people huh jezzz
Date: 8/28/2003 11:06:00 PM  From Authorid: 22080    its funny, i thought gas prices were supposed to go down with the occupation of iraq, bullcrap, they just wanna control the oil a lil better
Date: 8/28/2003 11:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 22080    even on military installations, went from 1.25 to 1.75 in an hour, my family can barely make ends meet cause the government pays crap to my dad but now raising gas prices, not to mention the fact dental got cut a while back, oh and they recently cut optometry where i live, its horrible and they wonder why the people who defend our nation are below the poverty line
