NOt reall, as a former severe depressive, I can understand your plight. It happens. Trust me, I know people try to take into account that it is your illness that creates the problems, still it is hard to keep that in mind all the time. The big problem with mental illness is even those that understand your dissorder to an extent still ocassionally think you should be able to control it. The best thing to do is to sit down and talk. Dont expect them to understand. Be the bigger person, and accept the fact that they dont get it, and tell them that is ok. It is ok that they don't get it, but still, you can't live like this. From there, plkay it by ear, but try and spend some real time apart. |

It seems that you're not going to be able to live together. So I think that maybe you should talk to her and ask her what she plans to do. It's not good for you to have someone there that doesn't understand your illness or support you. And obviously she just can't deal with it, maybe she doesn't know how. But I would suggest talking to her and making plans for one of you to move out. |

My heart goes out to you. Remember that none of this is your fault, and that she is not being very empathetic. She sounds like a person who has not been through a lot in her life, and therefore cannot understand your situation. If you have told her that your behaviour is a result of your illness and she is still so ignorant about it, then maybe she is not such a good friend after all. If she wants to change, maybe she will go see your doctor with you and he/she can explain to her your condition. Good luck! |
