My best friend Ashley's 18th birthday was coming up, and to beat it all, it was on Friday the thirteenth. This guy that she had started talking to was wanting alot of people to get together and go to a haunted house for her birthday, so I agreed to go. Me and Ashley thought that it was going to be fun and that nothing was really going to happen except for a few bumps and bangs. I knew that this house had to be haunted for a reason, so I asked him why that it was haunted. He told me that about 50 years ago a family of four lived there. There was a man, his wife, and they're two kids. They had a 3 year old and a baby that was only like 3 weeks old. The man was a drunk, and constanly had other women, leaving his wife and children home alone, and staying gone for days at a time. One night she finally got tired of it and shot him. Then, realizing what she had done, she killed they're children and herself. At that point I got a little worried, but not too bad, I thought that I was brave and nothing was gonna scare me. About 6 people ended up going, and we had to walk about 45 minutes through the woods to get there. When we finally walked up to the house, my heart dropped. As soon as we got on the front poarch we started hearing things slamming around upstairs in the house. But even though my heart was telling me to turn around and run home, I went in anyways. It was my best friends 18th birthday after all. We went inside of the house, and her boyfriend talked us into walking up the stairs. All along the stairwell was covered in bloody handprints and there were trails of dried blood up the stairs. We went into the two bedrooms upstairs and were looking around. Nothing much was happing, until we got ready to go back down the stairs. All of the sudden , the door at the end of the stair staring SLAMMING closed , then opening back up and slamming again. This continued for about 5 minutes, but it seemed like hours. I was shaking and crying, and praying to get out of that house alive, everyone else was screaming and flipping out, because nothing like that had ever happened while they were in it. As soon as it stopped we ran as far from it as we could, because obviously we were not welcome there.
