That happens to me sometimes, but I don't have yahoo. Somedays I'll get disconnected like 10 times in an hour and other times I can be on for 5 hours and not disconnected once. Weird. |

Go to the settings of the net connection then click the options tab and there should be a 'idle before hanging' up part. |

Disable "auto disconnect" in the settings for your connection. Click "tools" at the top of internet explorer, then "internet options" in the drop down menu, then the "connections" tab...should be there somewhere. Careful though....some internet providers require you to have "auto disconnect" enabled. If they detect your connection idle for long periods of time but still trying up a port...they may disable your account.... |

Click on the settings tab, then control panel. Look for internet options and click on it. Click on the connections tab and then the settings tab. Under Dial up settings click on the advanced tab. In the advanced properties you can disable the disconnect features there. Also sometimes if you have a anitvirus program running it will disconnect you as well. I use Automouse from DaveCentral.com to keep my computer from scanning and any other auto features that may be enabled. That way I can download movies and such with out it thinking its idle. If automouse is no longer offered at DaveCentral then contact me and I can send it directley to you by yahoo file download or Hotmail download. Hope this clears up everything else. |
