A few years ago, I read in some book or something about a person looking in the mirror and not seeing their reflection. And I also remember seeing a movie maybe three years ago in which a pretty girl looks in the mirror and sees a gruesome, ugly version of herself.
Is this a real phenomenon? Have people actually looked in mirrors and seen something in place of their reflection?
In a parapsychology book, I read once about a woman whose home was built on an ancient Native American burial ground and one day she took a shower. After her shower, she wiped the steam off the mirror and the face of an elderly Native American appeared in the spot where the steam was cleared.
I've tried searching for information, but I haven't really come up with reliable results.
Does anyone know anything about the idea of seeing someone else's reflection in place of one's own reflection in a mirror?
