Necromancy is a Black Art. I must warn you that it is illegal to dig up dead bodies. But, the cops are not the real problem. Its when you call up a demon to possess the body. This is very dangerous as the demon would rather take possession of you. I can see only one reason to to perform this operation and that is kill someone. It would be safer to just use a gun. Because if you become possessed, you will most likely return home to kill you family...  |

Necromancy dates back to the age of the ancient empires, Greece, Persia, etc. Many do believe it is the calling up of demon spirits, a fallacy perpetuated by many of the old RPGs, such as D&D. It is not actually the evoking of evil spirits, but the invoking of the spirits of those who have passed, much like a seance of today, or a medium would do. It was believed the spirit of those who have passed could give insight into future happenings, since their spirit was no longer harnessed by a physical human body here on this plane of existance. It was also believed that those spirits could lead their invokers to personal belongings and the such that they had left behind, but which the invokers were unaware of. It is not a common practice today in many of what people call the black sects, such as witchcraft, but is still used in voodoo and the medium practices. It is considered to be a dangerous practice in that if the spirit is invoked to return to this plane, that they can take control of the medium's body and not wish to return to their plane of existance.  |

In Dark Seraph's defence, you don't necessarily WANT to do something to be curious about it. It may be for a report, or just plain curiosity in wanting to know more about the world. I for one am facinated by autopsy photos, surgeries, and crime photos, but that doesn't make me want to go out and cause those things to happen, it just interests me.  |
