None at all, but I do think that if you don't get rid of them asap cats get very sick and can die. |

Oh, don't want my babies to get sick or die. They're too young!! I have to make sure that Tigger has worms also, just so I know. I looked at the Petco website and they had some products that aren't too spendy, but I have to use a spoon...that's gonna be hard LOL |

don't use a spoon, get a syringe that you use on little kids and use it. |

If they look like rice when dried up that is tape worm, the vet has to give you a pill that cost us about 10 dollars and you give one half on the day you get it and then give the other half when the vet recommends it.They say cats get tape worm if they ingest an infected flea, if it is tape worm they tell you to do a flea treatment on the cat. Each worm you see is really a segment of the worm.Good Luck!! |

It's because they swallow fleas. You really have to do a flea treatment as well as worms. You have to do it every month with something like Frontline. You can get something over the counter I think. |

Medusa pretty much covered it. I just took my cat to get dewormed a couple of weeks ago. It won't kill your cat, but it will cause them to eat an enormous amount of food and lose weight. This is because the tape worm is eating that food instead of the cat digesting it. They can also get tape worm from cheap cat food. That's how my cat got it. It would be a good idea to get your other cat checked as well. |

Oh, and it doesn't cost but about $10-$15 to take them to the vet. |

My best advice that I can give you is to get the worm medicine for your cat from a vet. I tried using some of the stuff that you can get over the counter and none of them worked. The good stuff may cost a little more but I would rather pay for something that is effective than something that's not. |

Magoo...I don't like the idea of using a spoon if I get the ones at the store. When Mittens was real little, we used to shoot deworming stuff into her mouth that we got from the vet a while back. |

Medusa...Yeah they do look like rice when they're dried up. The only time I can go to the vet is on Wednesday or Thursday so I hope that they'll be okay. 10 bucks isn't too bad. I can afford that. I think I might have to bring both cats there just in case. |

Koolade...Stupid fleas. They must die! LOL! They don't have fleas real bad at all. I only noticed a couple fleas on them but I would rather get rid of them all. |

Oddsmell...We've been using the same dry cat food ever since Mittens was able to eat dry food. We feed them Meow Mix Seafood Flavor. I wouldn't get them any real cheap dry food. I hope it's not because of the food. |

Kentucky Chick...I'd rather get stuff from the vet also. I don't really trust the stuff from pet stores because I doubt the workers know too much about the product. I'm going to make sure to take the cats to the vet as soon as I can. |

Thank you again for all that have replied. You've all been a big help. I will go to the vet as soon as I can. I have to round up the cash. I hate seeing this happening to Mittens and Tigger if he has it. My poor babies. Thank you all! :) |

You can get something very affordable at Walmart or the supermarket for worms . Having a cat is not very expensive . I wish your cat good health ! :) Razzy aka |

Razzy....I didn't end up taking them to the vet. But I did buy some deworming stuff at the pet store. I hope that it's working. I'm giving them their medication once a month like it says I'm suppose to do until it's all gone. |
