Starfall.................Hack

Lunacy sings a requiem to sanity,
shimmery notes glisten,
indistinguishable from the tears
that fall like rain - or any other old cliché
launched from the lips
of forgotten poets.

The Patron Saint of losers and has-beens
presides at the podium,
it seems the wake couldn't start without him,
while Kings and Courtesans pass by unseeing;
unable to penetrate the collapstar darkness
of lost fame.

but the silvery shiver of notes
continue to drop,
like falling stars.

Date: 9/22/2003 4:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 62222    I noticed that you slipped that line in there and was going to comment on it Hack but I figured it could be your bitter touche to that particular critic..who has no idea what she is talking about by the way....but I have to ask..are you sure it is wise to use so many comparisons? *giggles* <RegretfulHalo>
