Hey guys I have a couple of faves. One of them is pretty much aimed at my fiancee and its from GNR's "Patience" and it goes like this, "I've been walking the streets at night, just trying to get it right, it's hard to see with so many around, you know I don't like being stuck in the ground, and the streets don't change and baby the name, I ain't got time for the game coz I need you, yeah but I need you"!

I also like something from Nirvana called Dumb, which goes, "I think I'm dumb, think I'm just happy".

What are your favourite lyrics?

Date: 9/22/2003 5:04:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 45630    Who? lol.
Date: 9/22/2003 5:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 60945    omg the song I'm in love with is called Box of Sharp Objects by The Used, it goes like this: "It's our time to shine, through the down, glourified by what is ours, we've fallen in love, fallen in love" another really good song is Blue and Yellow by The Used, It goes: "And it's all in how you mix the two,And it starts just where the light exists. It's a feeling that you cannot miss,And it burns a hole, through everyone that feels it." I dunno, it's a cool song, one of my faves :D
Date: 9/22/2003 5:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 37449    The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful Stop me and steal my breath And emeralds from mountains thrust towards the sky Never revealing their depth Tell me that we belong together Dress it up with the trappings of love I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above Chorus:I'll Be your cryin' shoulder I'll Be loves suicide I'll Be better when I'm older I'll Be the greatest fan of your life And rain falls angry on the tin roof As we lie awake in my bed You're My Survival, You're My Living Proof My love is alive and not dead Tell me that we belong together Dress it up with the trappings of love I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above Chorus And I've dropped out, I've burned up, I fought my way back from the dead Tuned in, turned on, remembered the things that you said Chorus Chorus The greatest fan of your life.
Date: 9/22/2003 5:07:00 PM  ( Chatmin-FA )   It's actually the full song by Korn called "Dead" it goes a little something like this.. "All I want in my life is to be happy. It seems funny to me how *curse* things can be. Everytime I get ahead I feel more dead."
Date: 9/22/2003 5:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 56446    uhm.... it would have to be from Boy Sets Fire "Id rather be a loser and laugh at commen sense, then to rely on safty nets and reminisce" from their song "loser of the year award"
Date: 9/22/2003 5:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 60992    It's the whole song of, "Over My Head, Better Off dead" by sum 41 goes a little like this, What happened to you? You've played the victim for so long now in this game. What I thought was true is made of fiction and I'm following the same. But if I try to make sense of this mess I'm in I'm not sure where I should begin...And Also I LOVE the song Sorry Song By Brian McKnight, But I prefer the tagalog version if though I'm not flip..Also this song called the Heck Song..It's NOT really Heck, but you know wat I mean. The song goes like this, Everybody's got their problems Everybody says the same things to you It's just a matter how you solve them And knowing how to change the things you've been through..Sum 41 songs I love them, they always talk about some good stuff..There also hilarious and Canadian.. *Canuck Hugs* -des
Date: 9/22/2003 5:36:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 45630    I also the love the words to a song by a band called the hunters and collecters. The song is called "throw your arms around me". The song goes like this "We will never meet again so settle down and let's get started and you will throw your arms around me".
Date: 9/22/2003 5:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 47166    "But it was only fantasy; the wall was to high, as you can see; No matter how he tried, he could not break free; and the worms ate into his brain." -"Hey You," Pink Floyd
Date: 9/22/2003 5:41:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 45630    Cluckinvar that's an awesome song. My fave floyd song is "comfortably numb".
Date: 9/22/2003 5:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 47166    Really? As an avid Pink Floyd fan, I'd have to say that there are a lot I like better- "Braindamage/Eclipse" (the two songs together are more like one song), "In the Flesh?" and "In the Flesh," "The Trial," "The Fletcher Memorial Home," and even "Several Small Species of Furry Creatures Jamming in a Cave to a Pict."
Date: 9/22/2003 5:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 62222    Mine is Wasted Time by Skid Row: " Where's my friend I used to know..He's all alone, he's buried deep within a carcass searching for a soul. Can't you feel me inside your heart as it's bleeding...Why can't you believe you can't be loved?"<RegretfulHalo>
Date: 9/22/2003 6:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 57079    "id show a smile but im too weak id share with you could i only speak just how much this hurts me..." thats from the song called This Time Imperfect by AFI either that or "stained blood and the smell of dryed roses and cheap perfume serindipity awoke to find herself blackened by purple rain that fell from the sky love letters danced outside the garden but were too delicate to touch for they would surly crumble to the center it wasent the pain of the death of the blood oranges that made her ill it was the silence" from a song called the day the earth stood still by the silence cant really choose between the two lol! Guitar Babe
Date: 9/22/2003 6:05:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 45630    I will admit that, In the Flesh? is an awesome song. But I honestly think that comfortably numb is better than all of the songs that most people think of when they think of Pink Floyd. I mean I love money but it's not as good. I also love Wish you were Here but I really don't think it's as good.

Date: 9/22/2003 6:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 1225    "I can dim the lights And sing you songs full of sad things We can do the tango just for two I can serenade and gently play On your heart strings Be your Valentino just for you Ooh love Ooh lover boy What're doing tonight hey boy? Date: 9/22/2003 6:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 6003    Every time I look in the miror, all these lines on my face gettin clearer, the past is gone...Dream On by Aerosmith. Walk into splintered sunlight, it's your way thru dead dreams to another land, maybe you'll find direction around some corner where it's been waitin to greet you...Box of Rain by Grateful Dead. How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year. Running over the same old ground, have we found the same old fear? Wish you were here...Wish you were here by Pink Floyd. Just to name a few!
Date: 9/22/2003 6:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 49546    Linkin Park (Nobody's Listening) == Peep the style and the kids checking for it The number one question is How could you ignore it We drop right back in the cut Over basement tracks With raps that got you backing this up like [Rewind that] We're just rolling with the rhythm Rise from the ashes of stylistic division With these non-stop lyrics of life living Not to be forgotten But still unforgiven But in the meantime there are those who wanna Talk this and that So I suppose it gets to a point feelings gotta get hurt And get dirty with the people spreading the dirt [It goes] Try to give you warning But everyone ignores me [Told you everything loud and clear] But nobody's listening Call to you so clearly But you don't want to hear me [Told you everything loud and clear] But nobody's listening I got a Heart full of pain Head full of stress Handful of anger Held in my chest And everything left is a waste of time I hate my rhymes [But hate everyone else's more] I'm riding on the back of this pressure Guessing that it's better I can't keep myself together Because all of this stress Gave me something to write on The pain gave me something I could set my sights on You never forget the blood sweat and tears The uphill struggle over years The fear and trash talking And the people it was to And the people that started it Just like you I got a Heart full of pain Head full of stress Handful of anger Held in my chest Uphill struggle Blood, sweat and tears Nothing to gain Everything to fear [Coming at you]
Date: 9/22/2003 8:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 52215    BOB SEGER'S 'Against the Wind': "the years rolled slowly passed, and i found myself alone. surrounded by strangers i thought were my friends. i found myself further and further from my home.... i guess lost my way, there were oh so many roads. i was livin' to run and runnin' to live, never worryin' about paying or how much i owed. movin' eight miles a minute, four months at a time. breaking all the rules that would bend. began to find myself searchin', searchin' for shelter again and again. against the wind, it was something against the wind....." i think this perfectly describes what every teen goes through in those awkward adolescent years. or at least that's the way my life is going.
Date: 9/22/2003 8:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 20750    I'm feeling ugly, your ugly too. I'm feeling happy your happy too. I smell the flowers, I smell the rain. Now can you tell me what all remains? I touch a puppy you touch a cat. Does any of that matter to where were at? I'm feeling lonely, I'm feeling sad. I will be happy where ever your at. Yhea. I'm feeling ugly your ugly too. I'm feeling happy your happy too! I smell the flowers I smell the rain. Now can you tell me what all remains? Now can you tell me what all remains remains remains?----Halo Rose
Date: 9/22/2003 8:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 820    Well, it'd have to be every word to every dashboard confessional song. Some examples: "..'cause your gone, I get nothing, and your off with barely a sigh.. " -This ruined puzzle, "So this is odd.. the painful realization, that all has gone wrong, and nobody cares at all.. "..."And the plaster dented from your fist in the hall where you had your first kiss, reminds you that the memories will fade.." -The brilliant dance, "Breathe deeply from this envelope, it smells like you and I can't be without that scent, it's filling me with all you mean to me.." -Living in your letters. This guy..is a lyrical genious. Lol.
Date: 9/23/2003 5:36:00 AM  From Authorid: 58030    i have way too many to count, but right now it's probably tears in heaven by eric clapton, don't ask me why but they fit really well, or any of simple plans songs
Date: 9/23/2003 8:08:00 AM  From Authorid: 53284    "Born to be Wild" is like my theme song. From now on, whenever you hear it, you'll think of me.... You've been cursed...
