I see her standing over there with tears falling down her cheeks.
I walk over to her and ask whats wrong. She only continues to weep.
I take her to my small home. Clean her up nice and good. Try to make her feel at home. Wishing i knew what was wrong.
She looked at me with a tear streaked face and says i thankyou with all i am. She says i was going to kill myself but you kindness has just saved me.
I didn't know what to say. So i just wrapped my arms around her. I told her there is a better way, than ending her life so early.
She told me she knows thats true, but just couldn't see it through, all the pain and heartache she had to face.
She told me that many people passed her this day. Not even caring enough to give a second glance. She told me that no one really cares anymore what life may be about to end.
Sad as that may be,i thought, it is pretty darn true. How no one really cares in this world, or how so very few do.
She left the very next day, looking bright and new. She told me thankyou again, for keeping me from doing something stupid.
I smiled and waved her on, with wishes for her to be strong through it all. She told me she's alright now, she knows that someone does still care.
It hurt my heart to hear these things. I cried myself to sleep that night. Thinking how cruel this world has become and how quick people begin to loose faith.
