aol disks?

you know i was just thinking (very unusual i know ;) ) and i realized back when aol just used lil envelopes to send they're disks, you never saw a broken one, that's weird, considering how much mail a mail person carries, you would think one thing would get bent, disks aren't that hard to break ya know? that's weird.... i know just a bit of randomness, and a lack of sugar....

Date: 9/23/2003 4:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 53900    LOL I was just thinking about those disks today...I wodner how much money AOL puts out to produce those disks cause every store I go into nowadays has hundreds of them all over the place.

Date: 9/23/2003 6:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 32193    haha we still get those envelopes with them
Date: 9/23/2003 7:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 11341    They never show up in the mail broken, but when we get em I give em to my kids, they dont last too long then :P
Date: 9/23/2003 9:36:00 PM  From Authorid: 24732    Not exactly on topic, but I find it lame how AOL charges so much money that they can afford to mail out endless supplies of those disks. Not that they cost that much, but they have to buy the disks, the packaging, and do all the printing. People who use AOL probably don't even think that they are paying extra money to foot the cost of all that promotional garbage.
