Here is the debate. Can love be lost? What does it take to lose love?
For example woman A dates guy a. After a while woman A decides she doesn't love guy A because he farts alot and has bad table manners. A year later woman A marries guy B. Guy B happens to be verbally abusive, a drunk and very unemployable. But he has "potential".
And to be fair to women here. Lets say we have guy C and woman C. They date for a while, but after a year guy C says he doesn't love woman C because her umm...legs are bad. A year later guy C marries woman D. Woman D happens to be a chain smoker with a bad attitude, but she has awesome legs!
I think these are very real life examples we've all seen. So how do they tie into the debate. In the first situation woman A left guy because of his farts and bad manners, but ended up marrying the abusive loser. Those flaws seem bigger than farting or burping. So in a situation like this, was it really the flaws of farting or burping that made the woman "lose" love? Afterall she can see past the abuse.
Can love be lost because of petty flaws, or do people use those as excuses to cover up the fact that they didn't really love someone in the first place?
What does it take to lose or keep love?
Just been thinking about excuses I hear when people say they broke up. It always seems like it's over something really petty. And leaves me wondering if people really break up because of that, or because of something deeper, that being they really didn't love them in the first place. Which, if that is the case, the person being dumped shouldn't go and try to fix their flaws. Because in reality, true love will see past those flaws. Chances are if the dumpee didn't have certain "flaws" that caused a break up, the dumper would have found other reasons. Why? Becuase there wasn't true love there in the first place.
So maybe next time when you're the dumpee, don't get so down on yourself. The problem probably wasn't with you or some supposed flaw! The problem is that they just didn't truly love you. And you should be thankful you found that out!
