I know the soul exists. (although mine seems to drift around alot. haha Get it? Soul...Drifter) I'm one of those people who died and came back. It was many years ago. I wish I could tell you I saw a light and the dearly departed waiting for me but I didn't see anything. I DID, however, come back very differently with alot of spirituality I never had before. It's a long story but I'll just say there is no doubt in my mind that the spirit exists and the body is only a temporary vessel. |

DOES! It's "DOES the soul exist!" Not "dose." Dose is like a dose of medicine. Sorry if this is irrelevant and angry-sounding. |

I believe that we all have a soul but we don't possess it, we can never sell our soul or give our soul away as it is an innate and untouchable being. I believe in an afterlife and in a Heaven and a Hell and all that jazz so I guess in my opinion of it they go hand in hand. =-bootz-= |

I don't quite get why people ask a question in their title, i.e., referring to "soul", and then switch to the word "spirit" in the text of the post. I don't believe they are the same thing and I think not knowing this just leads to further confusion. God Bless. |

Yes I believe so. I believe that we are more than the body, and maybe go so far as to say that the mind is the creator of the body. Everything is energy and mind is part of that energy. Energy cannot be destroyed. When we die the energy of our body goes back into the material earth, and our mind lives on and adds to the collective unconscious which some people call 'Spirit'. All living things have this energy, as well as non-living things. |

I definitely believe every human being has a soul. |

Without a soul there could be no life. The soul is immortal, but the physical body is not. Death is simply the separation of the soul from the body. |

Deb - You answered your own question, because you believe they are different that what causes the confusion. |

It is not confusing to me . . . the soul is the heart/emotion/feeling that DOES LIVE ON as it is a part of God, but the spirit, or the mind/thinking/rememberance is altogether different and without "it" living on (i.e., saved), then it doesn't matter whether your soul lives on or not on an individual basis as without the spirit the soul is not going to have any "memory" of being a "living person". God Bless. |

I was just wondering about this today. I used to believe that we all had souls/spirits that lived on for eternity. Now I'm not so sure. But I'm starting to open up to the possibility that this life is the end and there is nothing afterward. It's sad but a very real possiblity. |
