Hiya, this is a poem about a Greek myth that I wrote a long time ago and recently rediscovered... :)
-ºThe Griffins and the Goldº-
The hounds of Zeus guard the northern stream Peaceful are the times, it seems The Griffins protect the river of gold Not many go there, only the very bold For these dogs of the Thunder-god have beaks of birds And the bodies of ferocious lions, I've heard Only Arimapsi, the horseman with one eye, Has lived there at that site and not had to die Even when he tried to steal away the liquid treasure, His life was spared, and now they all live together in leisure By the stream of flowing gold do they all reside And away from us and all the world they've managed to hide Of Arimapsi and the Griffins, I'd like to have a look Or maybe one day rest beside the fabled gilded brook
And that's it ^-^ Thank you for reading! :D
