Prince Harry is currently visiting Australia (where i live) for 3 months and it is costing something like $600,000 (australian) just for his security .... guess who has to foot the bill? Australian tax payers. What is he doing for us? Zilch ~ heck he wont even do any media related stuff.  |

i think they hold to old style beliefs... and it's good to have someone in some sort of power what runs in the family... and i think it makes the country run a bit better for it perosnally.. but thats just me |

Really have no idea why people like them so much. My husband and I were in England once and the Queen was spotted outside the restaurant where we were eating. Everyone ran out to see her, except us. People have a right to support and want to meet them. Of course, they should not be abolished unless a country decides it is too expensive to fund keeping them. RAT |

I don't like the idea of a monarchy, whether they are just figureheads or leaders. I wouldn't want to live anywhere where taxes are used to fund them. If they were funded with private donations from people who liked them it would be different, but I'm sure glad I don't live in a country that wastes money like that. Ha and people complain about spending pointless money here!  |
