I was feeling blue since my baby bird was killed a few months ago, I had no one to take care of, so my mother thought it was time I got a new pet. Today my sister and I and my two baby nephews "Dogpiled" in the car, and went to the local animal shelter. I found a BEAUTIFUL pit/boxer mix, and she is PERFECT! The moment we stepped into the outdoor pen she leapt on my sisters lap licking away at my one year old nephew, who Squealed with delight! Then she systematically went to each one of us sniffing and begging for affection. Oh, she is WONDERFUL! She is hardly a puppy at Four years old, but I have found that this was a much better idea since she is house trained and knows Some commands. She sits, and stays. those are the only ones I have tried so far. Oh no she hugs too! hehehe! She is fully house trained, and LOVES car rides. (It was a thirty minute drive from the Kennel, and she had her face out the window the whole time! lol! Well, I would like to take this opportunity to say, WELCOME TO THE FAMILY TANK! (She is muscular, and bowls the children over to play with them although she is EXTREMLY GENTLE, so we call her Sherman Tank, Or "Tank" for short!)
