That night I tossed and turned in my bad, feeling like sleep was the last thing I could do. It was after three and if one of my parents caught me up I'd probably be in for it. I'd already finished reading 2 books and had watched the whole "I Love the 80's" marathon on VH1, and I was still as wide awake as if I'd just downed a bottle of pure caffiene. I swiftly flipped over and face the window. Oh great, I thought to myself- the window's unlocked. How safe is that? I sighed and got out of bed, trudging over to the window. I lifted my hand to the lock and looked out. And someone was looking back at ME!

I dove behind my bed as the figure's arm swung wildly toward me, the knife glinting in the moonlight, I backed up against my night-table, yanking my lamp out of the socket and brandishing it out in front of me like a shield.
I didn't notice but I was sobbing so hard I couldn't yell. I grabbed my T.V. remote and hucked it at their head. It smacked right where the left temple would be and the figure shrank back a bit. I lept up, tossed the lamp at it in its one moment of weakness, and ran to the door. The figure jumped toawrd me and raised the knife above my head and it began the heart-stopping journey downwards...
